Luna - that's kinda funny! I guess when you've been there done that before as an older Mum you kind of get used to the funny looks. Did you laugh when you had DD and found out you were termed a "geriatric primipara"? Or didn't you know that? My aunt (a geriatrician) had #1 at 41 and thought it was hilarious she was geriatric.

Jenna - Be careful with your paracetamol intake! You should only have 8 paracetamol containing tablets a day (4 grams). Mersyndol has paracetamol in it too. You'd be better off taking something completely different like an anti inflammatory and a mersyndol or something. Anyway, I'm glad they were able to help and I hope the surgeon calls back soon so you can get them out - wisdom teeth are HORRIBLE!!

T-hopes - well you got to 37 weeks! That's awesome. Such a lucky little baby to go full term. Good luck for Monday, so exciting that you'll get to meet your little one, and exciting that MIL will be able to meet her too. I'm glad your Dad is doing ok - you guys have had enough going on in the last few weeks. I wish you all the best for a happy and healthy delivery of baby T-hopes and can't wait to read your BA!

angel - looking forward to some good results on your end from your u/s.

I had a good night's sleep - didn't want to get up this morning when DS insisted it was time ("MaaaaaaaMa.... MaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaMa"). We have a busy day planned - lunch at my brother's place, dinner at a friend's. But my other brother is coming round this morning to take DS for a walk to the park so I can get some stuff done and try to relax and recuperate I have lovely brothers.

Luna-when i was in hospital with bleeding at 37 weeks there was a 47 year old lady in the bed across from me pregnant naturally her doctor said not very common after 45 but there is the odd one or two who fluke nature and i thought i was pushing it at 37 but the midwives said i was still young they are getting a lot of over 40's having bubs now so i still have a few years left in me although i dont want any more.

T-Hopes I'm sorry your operation wasn't successful. I hope your able to enjoy the last 2days been pregnant with your precious bub. I'm so excited that the time is almost hear for you to meet him/her. I'm going to guess bub is a boy. Will your MIL be able to visit or is she not able to now? I'll be praying your bub has no issues with Jaundice/slower feeding that you occasionally get when they are a little early so you can get home really quickly. My DD was born at 36+3 and she acted like she was full term. I'm thinking of you and your family and can't wait to hear about your bubs arrival.

Luna were I worked we saw about 10 women a year 43 or older and almost all of them were spontaneous pregnancies. And ferrals 37 is definately not considered an older mother. I'd say the largest percent is around that 28-32yr olds but I's still say 20% of the women we see are 35 upwards.

Yesterday I remembered that today in the 2yr anniversary of my 2nd m/c baby. I was sad about it yesterday but surprisingly I am fine today. I feel that if what didn't happen J wouldn't have conme but then It sort of shiats me that J could have been my 4th earth side bub not my 3rd if we didn't keep loosing our bubs.

JJ I know what you mean about wanting another and your DH going on about the financial side of things. What p's me of is my DH wants another I know he does but I think he wants to make it out that I have to nag him and his seen as giving in to my request. I know if I insist I have no more he will nag me to have another but his turning this around to make it about me and its like he thinks he can have extra brownie points if he lets me have another and pretends his only doing it for me. Stupid man. We are using condoms but its me insisting they go on not him. I have to nag him to wear it so if it wasn't for me goodness knows what would happen. I know with my shot fertility it wouldn't happen that easily but still I'm not taking my chances.

BBL have to go pick my sister up.
