On the up side, we did find a lovely hanging mesh canopy thing for the cot (don't know how to describe it but ykwim???) and a nightlight in the shape of the moon. That's about all the significant stuff we got there, so pretty depressing. To cheer ourselves up we went to 'Bubs' baby shop on the way home and found a PERFECT bassinette. $150, and on wheels. Bingo! So I know where I'm going next week hehe. I keep going into the nursery now and just looking at things, it's coming together so nicely, and actually looks like a baby's room. DP and I went in there when we got up this morning just to look. I hope everyone is having a lovely weekend, and not going to Ikea. *shudder*
i took mark there to look at the pooh bear manchester so he could get an idea of the colour I want the nursery painted and we walked out $1100 out of pocket (well only $200 as the rest is on layby) - a new pram and cot, something we weren't looking at to start with

Iona - which pram did you end up with? ohhhh its so hard to resist in those baby shops think i will stay away for now i dont need anything anyway but would be sure to end up with something
someone at work bought in a cute playmat and rocker for me today and i cant keep Ella out of them!!!! looks so funny seeing a big toddler lying under a playmat

Forshelby think you need to post a pic of your nursery i bet its looking so cute!
yeah anything material they can poop on is very bad as they are sure to do it
the ikea high chairs are the BEST though they are so easy to clean. the one i had was horrible to clean and had so bar between her legs so she used to slide out - gosh i hated it ( it did have cute winnie the pooh on it lol prob why i bought it )and someone recommended the ikea one and we love it!
I have seen material high chairs too that makes me laugh as all i can think off is the poor mum scrubbing Vegemite or whatever off it

I got so many little kicks today i am on top of the world tonight - i think he or she did a huge flip before i cant get the grin off my face
