I just noticed there are no boys left (except surprises) in our babies-to-be list lol
I just noticed there are no boys left (except surprises) in our babies-to-be list lol
It seems to be a year for girls. The year DS was born there were heaps more boys than girls in Australia, I wonder if this year it will be the opposite. Most of my friends have had girls though, so lots of little girls to play together in the years to come. Except my brother's little boy who will be in girly heaven for years to come too!
Yeah indias mom congrats
CM~around the same time with this pregnancy i had the same issues sending you good vibes
AFM Honor and i have been sick for the past week she is getting over it faster. My blood sugers have been up so they have put me on meds. With Honor i was haiving tons of lows now with this one i am having to many highs. Go see the dr tomorow to see how she is doing
Hi everyone,
I had my blood test and it was positive. The first beta was a "strong beginning" they said. I am elated-- but understandably ridiculously cautious. Going from day to day. It would be a miracle just to get out of the 1st trimester-- heck, it already is a miracle. I have the next test on Friday. Hopefully, the number will double like it is supposed to do. Prayers appreciated.
Hi everyone! I got completely too far behind to catch up with persies, so I'll start again... Had my 20 week scan on Monday (well it was 19 weeks 5 days) and everything is going well :) it's a very wriggly little bub and was sucking its thumb so we have a very cute pic of that.
I've been feeling lots of flutters in the last 2 weeks with a bit of a lull early this week but now lots of flutters in the last 2 days. They have started to be in places other than the top bikini line too so that's good :)
Plus I know it's on a growth spurt cause my tummy is popping a bit more and cause I have to measure the levels of phenylalanine in my blood cause of my PKU. They're getting really low, which means bub is starting to take on a lot more protein and process it itself... So I get to eat more protein in a day than before, yay!
I have been reading and welcome the new arrivals to Alish and India's Mum - congratulations ladies! :D
Sent from my iPod touch - sorry for any mistakes!
s&s - a massive congrats to you. im so so happy. of course you are cautious - its only natural - you just need to think positive thoughts. i will definatly be saying a little prayer for you (although you dont need them :) ). sending you lots of love and massive hugs.
cheshire - youre next!!!
wbm - dh and i were talking about the exact same thing the other day - there are baby girls being born everywhere!!
phebee - thankyou. she is a doll. :)
did you find out the sex? its cool when you start to feel the flutters ay..
hello to everyone else, i hope youre all well..
ill keep dropping in from time to time to say gday.. dont sorta feel like i belong in here anymore though!! xxx
No, were going for a surprise :)
Sent from my iPod touch - sorry for any mistakes!
i read that after, geez im silly :)
No worries :)
Sent from my iPod touch - sorry for any mistakes!
s&s - congratulations, that is really great news. Of course you are cautious, that never goes away. My b-day is coming too (tomorrow) but I will be 44...
phoebe - enjoy those flutters, soon they will turn into sometimes painful kicks :-). The worst is actually when the baby sticks her foot or head somewhere in your ribs and just leaves it there, like a big hard stone pushing on your ribcage. But at least you know somebody is there.
I noticed that it seems nothing but girls this year. In my neighbourhood, all the 8-14 year olds seem to be boys, but all the babies born in the last 3 years are girls. Weird.
Hi Lovely ladies
Another quick one as I'm at work and work for a Visitor Centre - with the holidays, its busy.
S&S ~ Congratulations and I know exactly how you feel, we'll get through it together! I want to try and enjoy being PG but I also can't wait to get to the 12 week mark. Every little symptom I worry about but just have to take everyday as it comes. :crossfingers:
Hope everyone is well
:bellyrubs::stickyvibesgirl::stickyvibesboy:
Hi again, everyone,
Another Beta today-- It was 211, so that means that it doubled from the 75. I requested another test on Monday to make sure that it is rising properly. I just feel that I can't get too attached until we see a heartbeat...and even then...well, I guess I am just protecting myself from sorrow-- as if you can do that! LOL.
Anyway, sorry for no persies...I am just getting acquainted again. But thank you for the encouragement. My hubby and I have already beat the odds in some ways... I am glad that I didn't blow up like a balloon, given that I hyperstimmed a bit with the IVF.
Wishing everyone belly rubs and joy...
Happy birthday Luna - hope you're being spoiled today!
Awesome news S&S - I understand the waiting for a heartbeat :) Keeping my fingers crossed for you!
I am more comfortable today than I was yesterday - oh my gosh, it was like bubs was sideways across the top of my uterus and just really uncomfortable. Add to that DS not sleeping and being a right pain in the butt all day and me being absolutely shattered and you get my day. Oh - I tend to get teary when I'm tired too, so it wasn't much fun. Today much more betterer. Went shopping for presents for my Mum's 60th, now I just have to choose and get some photos printed for a big photo board my brothers and I are doing, and wrapping paper, and a card. Mostly done - the matt and frame are bought for the photos so we're on our way.
Next thing - finish getting organised for DS's 2nd birthday! All birthdays all the time in the next couple of weeks...
Luna - Thanks, I am still enjoying flutters, no kicks yet but not really minding! Happy Birthday!
S&S - Yay for doubled beta! Hope Monday's one also rises properly too and your bub nestles down nice and snugly in there :) I know how you feel about trying to protect yourself. FX for a sticky!
WBM - Ahhh no sleep is NOT fun! I also get teary when I'm tired. Glad you're feeling better. Happy Birthday to your Mum!
AFM - I have the worst sore throat and cold ever. This is like the 3rd or 4th time I've had one this year and all in the space of the last 3-4 months. It HAS to be cause I'm pregnant. I know it'll all be worth it in the end but far out! I am exhausted from lack of sleep, but can't seem to get to sleep either. Not fun!
congratulations cheshire!!!!!!!
Oh phe... Are you feeling any better now? Sleeping I hope...?
Alish how's bubba going ?
Congrats cheshire I hope bambi is going well and you both enjoy your babymoon x
Afm.. 4am wide awake... 20w scan today. At 11am. Wish I could go back to sleep. I'm so nervous I just want everything to be ok. And I will be finding the sex out but to be shhh on fb... Will update later today x
Mel- YAY!!! You find out today! Are you telling us bellybelly girls?
Congrats Cheshire!!!! She is so beautiful :) and a pretty name as well
AFM: Just about flipped out on a horrible doctor last night. I called the on-call doctor at my clinic because the pain wouldnt let up and she literally said the following:
"Yeah, it doesnt sound good what your having but there is no point going to L&D because they wouldnt stop your contractions anyways until your 24 weeks"
lysndan - yay!! scan day today - enjoy seeing your baby & dont forget to tell us the sex :) dont stress - everything will be fine hun!
she is going really well, cant believe how much she has grown in 2 weeks - getting a chubby little face - i must be doing something right. i have the stupid mchn coming here again today, i wonder what ive done wrong this week!
jess - wtf!?!? that dr sounds like a douche. can you go to another clinic? you poor thing x
hello to all the lovely ladies - hope youre well! x
Thanks Ladies :D
Jess how rude & insensitive.
LD good luck today, look forward to hearing all about it :)
Alish great news about your little girl :D
cheshire - have you named bambi yet? hope youre feeling well! xoxoxo
Montana Rose & i'm slowly feeling better :)
ohhh what a gorgeous name, great to hear - rest up and enjoy lots of cuddles with montana xx
Congratulations Cheshire and a beautiful name!!
LD: after 3 nights of waking up at 3am and one of not actually getting to sleep until 3am, I finally slept a lot better (not perfectly but a lot better) last night. I put it down to doing nothing but resting over the weekend and staying warm. My nose is pretty much 98% fine now & scratchy throat is gone but it still needs clearing a lot. Praying that's the last bout for the year! Good luck for your scan today! I'm sure it'll be fine. Will be thinking of you xxxx
TM: oh my goodness! Some doctors really lack a compassion gene don't they?! Sorry you have to go through this Hun, praying your little bub is all fine and stays put!
Sent from my iPod touch - sorry for any mistakes!
About to go in... So nervous
Eta... Bubs is healthy but didn't want to uncross its legs the little turd lol. Guess it'll have to be a suprise. Bit disapointed but what can u do... Hmmm. Bubs is all healthy and a little wriggler though.
Cheshire - congratulations on your baby girl!
Well I ended up going to L&D and discovered I am not contracting or dilating (pheww)
Though, I did discover I have a fever, so they think I have a tummy bug which is causing my irritable uterus and to just be careful. I feel very relieved :)
tM just make sure you relax please xx thinking of you xx
TM ~ hope your tummy bug goes soon.
Cheshire ~ congratulations and yes love the name!! Enjoy your precious girl!
I'm away from tonight for a week, so chat to you when I return. All the best
Much love
Sneaking in to say huge congratulations to India's mum and Cheshire on the arrival of your precious girls!! So excited for you both. WIshing you both a speedy recovery from birthing and lots of joy in your new babies. : )
Alish: hope you and little DD are doing well!
Sunshine and starts: very warm congrats on your BFP. Sticky sticky vibes to you. I hope everything runs smoothly with your pregnancy and a lovely sibling for Obie.
I'll keep stalking for BA's for everyone I know but not posting as much now as my DDs are keeping me very busy. (Especially DD2: lots of time sitting on my bottom being a good 'cow' and lots of time on my feet rocking and cuddling her when she is unsettled with reflux from all that eating! She is so very sweet though and gaining weight like a champion. Fabulous chubby cheeks and 2nd chin!).
Belly rubs to all!
Cheshire - congratulations!!! So happy for you, I'll go check the BAs now :) I hope you and Montana are having lovely cuddles.
And OMG does that make me next? IRL I have another 3 to go before me (2 due next week), but it's exciting to be next here :D
Jess, that sounds like a fairly crappy bedside manner for that dr! She could have at least said "it does sound worrying, can you come in so we can assess you and see what's happening". Says the same thing but also says it might be something else (which I am so glad it was - not that you've got an upset tummy, but glad it wasn't premature labour).
L&D - sorry you couldn't find out the sex of your bump, but it's lovely to have a surprise too :) Also really glad the scan went well!
Phee - hope you can get some sleep again soon! Take care of yourself.
AFM, I could barely walk when I got home from work yesterday, then DS decided to scream for 2 hours instead of going to sleep. And then my laptop died, swallowing a CD of photos I needed at the same time. I'm trying to put together the photos for my Mum's 60th and obviously couldn't. One set of photos is on the CD, another set is on the laptop. Crud. My brother's coming over today so hopefully between us we can get what we need. Add another crappy night's sleep and you get where I am today. Oh and DS didn't sleep in after last night's shenanigans.
On the positive - little treasure grows well and is doing all the right things. I have an appointment with the Ob tomorrow.
Thanks you for the congratulations. It's lovely to be home and Freya is doing very well. She is very content and loves a cuddle. She isn't feeding very well due to attachment issues so I feel I am constantly attached to a breast pump. Oh well, at least she is getting what she needs in some fashion.
Sunshine and Stars - I am so pleased to hear from you and that you have some very positive news. I still think of you and Obie often. Please keep us updated with your progress.

I'm not getting as much either LD and still just flutters for me. But my appetite has increased so maybe bub is on a growth spurt and sleeping a lot?

I think that I am in Beta hell... The first scan can not come soon enough...they will be looking for a heartbeat. Hoping that my little blastocyst babe grows, grows, grows...
Too exhausted to write...trying to sleep...and NOT. Here we go again!:o
Hugs to all the mommies and mommies-to-be...please send STICKY baby dust this way!
Wow - it's been a while since I've been here, wish I had a BFP to celebrate, but I wanted to say congrats to India's Mum and Cheshire and Dampyre for the safe arrival of their little bundles. We shared some of our preg journey together, and it's so nice to that you've got your wee ones safely here. Oh and Alish too!
Forgot to come in here and update :) Had an Ob appt yesterday. All is well with our rather largish bump :) Measuring in at a healthy 34 weeks (but still high, so measuring big), BP good, baby moving and all is well in there. Pelvic instability is still bloody painful, but as the Ob said "that's yours to deal with" - doesn't mince words does my Ob, love him though! He did say not lifting a toddler and some rest would be good. Then laughed. He sounds like an awful man doesn't he! He wouldn't say that if I didn't say the same things. I really do love him!
My back's been pretty good yesterday and today, except that it clicked getting out of the car 45 minutes ago and now I'm in a lot of pain! Oh well, it's not going anywhere in the near future.
Hi Ladies,
I am a brand newie, so hi! I am 5 wks and 3 days along, we suffered a missed miscarriage in June this year and I had to have a D & C, luckily we seem to fall pretty easily and here we are with our second, please send lots of sticky baby dust for this one, EDD 30 May 2012, going for my first ultrasound on 21 October and will be 8 wks 2 days so hoping for heart beat, last time we went right on 9 wks and there was no heart beat with baby measuring 7 wks 6 days so fingers crossed. This time I have had he symptoms, last time not so much, this time very sore boobies, waves of nausea (although not a great deal), a feeling of being full, having to pee all the time, little cramps, last time at 4 wks blood test showed 165 Hcg, this time 265, so it all looks positive so far :D Looking forward to sharing the journey
Welcome blondtress! Lots of sticky babydust coming your way. Here's hoping for a happy and healthy pregnancy for you and your family. Must be a long wait until 21 October!!
Ok so I just got back from the bathroom freaking out just a little, extremely light staining not like fresh blood so I will put my feet up for the rest of the night and luckily tomorrow is a public holiday so I can rest some more, hoping it is nothing :(
