    Pregnant again but nervous

I recently found out that I was UTD again. I am excited and my HCG levels are looking a lot better than last time (last time they were only 42 somewhere between 4.5-5.5 weeks and this time they were 179 just before 4 weeks). I feel like I have more 'symptoms' than last time....my BB's have been constantly sore for over a week, I've been crazily hungry, tired and occasionally feeling a bit nauseous.

However, I can't help feeling dread everytime I go to the toilet. I'm scared that I will start bleeding again. I am trying to remain very positive but it's awful feeling so nervous a million times a day when I visit the loo.

I also think that everyone is gonna start thinking I love my BB's soon as a number of times each day I 'check' them to make sure they are still sore. Last time the bleeding started not long after I noticed these were no longer sore...

Anyway, my question is, how have any of you stopped yourselves from worrying so much? I know it's not good for me. I really want to enjoy this pregnancy but I'm worried I will 'waste' it being worried the whole time....

Chody47, I totally understand what you are going through. I actually did have some bleeding with this pregnancy but even after it stopped I was still toilet paper checking and to be honest, I still catch myself doing it now. It becomes a habit I think. For me, it was information that eased my mind. Firstly it was the HCG numbers and then the early scan with the sac and pole and then the next scan with the heartbeat and then the 12 week scan. I know many people don't believe in scans and numbers and think we should just trust our bodies and to some extent, I do understand this thought process. However, I was so stressed the whole time that information was power to me and I wasn't afraid to ask for more BT's and scans just to "check." My thoughts are with you and I hope you can enjoy this time as well.

Its so normal hun to be worried, nervous and anxious especially in the first tri. Ive had spotting this pgcy and even though it appears to have stopped, I still dread going to the toilet and seeing any sort of spotting. I still squeeze my BB's checking that they are indeed still sore, yet sometimes I think it is squeezing them that is making them sore iykwim. To keep yourself sane just get your hcg levels checked and see them rising, and when you hit the 6-7wk mark ask for an early u/s so you can have something else to hold onto. Once you hit the 2nd tri and start feeling that bub move you will feel even more at ease and will feel more confident that all is ok. Yet I must say, I dont really think that you are even truly relaxed until you have bubs safe and sound in your arms. Let me just say this though, when ever you feel anxious, worried, pop on here as we are all here for you. hugs

Thank you both for your advice. I have already organised for another blood test on Monday and my doc said they'd give me an early ultrasound at 7 weeks. I do think that both of these things will help.

I do the same thing - I think it's force of habit. I'm just waiting for AF to rear her ugly head and say "HAHA got your hopes up!"
