With my first loss, I had a massive bleed at 7 weeks, and at the ultrasound discovered i was losing a twin, but the other baby is now a healthy 8 yr old....
My last loss was with this pregnancy. I was very sick, had very strange blood results, and very high blood pressure. I thought twins, but I also thought something was wrong, and couldn't shake the feeling.
An ultrasound confirmed one healthy bubba, and another sac that was in the middle of colapsing, with no heartbeat....
I had no bleeding, and the next ultrasound confirmed the "little" one was all gone.....(vanishing twin)
It can be common to have a smaller twin, but usually only by days. Did they tell how "different" they were?? My "smaller" one was very obviously not going to make it....
The waiting is SO hard honey, and I still go through being so happy for this litttle girl, and crying for her twin.
But every now and then I pull out my ultrasound, just to see my "Little One", and know there must be a reason he/she isn't still here....
I hope you can find some answers honey, and some peace, either way....
Maybe call your doc and ask for some reasurrance, or to look at your scan again and explain EVERYTHING for you???
