we lost and are now pregnant again and having problems.
in aug/sept 2008 my fiancee and i got pregnant. we were so excited we told all of our family and friends. we called the dr and he said that we should wait till apx 3 months to come in. so in Nov. 2008 we went in to meet our new obgyn. she was terrible! she had no bedside manner she was rude, and Never explained anything. they did blood and the exam. the dr said something wasnt right and did an ultrasound. it ended up being a blighted ovum (sp?) i had to have a D & C the next day. it was so hard for us to get past that. we never felt right we still to this day question what really happend.
now we are married and expecting. of course we are so so nervous anyway but now i am having so many problems. i took 3 early pregnancy tests and sure enough we were pregnant. i think our fears kind of hurt our celebration. any way i had an apt set with our normal family dr for tuesday and monday morning when i woke up i was spotting a little bit. the dr wanted to see me right away. i was immediatly put on bed rest for 4 days. however the next day (tues) i was having so much cramping and pain the dr told us to go to the hospital. they did an ultrasound and saw nothing.
that was almost 2 weeks ago. my hcg levels are going up as they should and they did another ultrasound and 5 weeks 2 days and we saw the little yolk sac. the u/s tech told me that i have a retro verted uterus, and i had a cyst on my right ovarie that burst. our family dr sent us to an obgyn. i really like this guy. he says that the cramping is a combination of the retroverted uterus, the burst cyst, and some scar tissue tearing. i have some exercises i have to do but they dont seem to help.
I am still cramping and uncomfortable. i cant help but feel so so scared and nervous. our ob was very honest and said we are not out of the woods yet. however everything looks normal at this point. we dont have another apt till may 6th he will do another ultrasound then. has anyone else gone through anything similiar. i feel so alone in this. i am in pain almost 24 hours a day.
I don't really know a lot about the things that your obgyn said but I have had 3 healthy pregnancies and all of them started with quite constant cramping for the first couple of months. So much so that I was running off to the loo constantly to check AF hadn't started. I don't know if those are the types of cramps you are describing but apparently it is normal to feel crampy in the first few months of pregnancy and bleeding is not all that uncommon either.
If your obgyn says that everything looks good at the moment, that is a very good sign.

thank you for the reassurance about the cramps. i trust my ob... i was once so so confident that everything was fine. but now.... i try to stay positive but i'm just not so sure anymore.
