So here is the story:
My name is Jessica and I am 19 almost 20 years old and as far as I can remember I wanted to be a mommy. When I met my boyfriend he wanted to be a daddy and get married. We didnt want to wait so we tried right away because (call us crazy) we want four children close in age. We are also saving up for a big wedding we want it to mean something not just go out and have a cheap wedding because we want kids. Well anyways I found out about October 7th that we were pregnant. For some reason even though I was a week late I kept getting negative pregnancy tests but on the 7th i got a barely there positive line. For the next couple days we were exstatic we told everyone we knew. On October 13th I started bleeding and we rushed to the hospital. They took my blood test and saw that my HCG level was at 40. I had no idea if that was good or bad and the doctor labeled it as a threatened miscarriage. Two days later the bleeding was heavier and we went in and found out the HCG level was at 22. This time the doctor labeled it as a miscarriage, she also said that on the ultrasound she noticed I had a subseptate uterus. My boyfriend and I went home devastated. All I kept thinking was what was wrong with me. Do I get to be a mommy? My miscarriage went smoothly because I was barely pregnant and then come around on November 6th three days before my period was to start we found out I am pregant again. this time I am so nervous. I get my levels checked every two days and right now at 5wks 3dys i am 1332 (which is awesome). I have every pregnancy symptom you can think of and definitly feel like this is going the way I want it to. Next week we are getting our ultrasound and I am nervous. One time during intercourse I spotted a little bit but my doctor said thats normal because my cervix is doubly filled with blood due to the fact I was also pregant the month prior. so basically I am asking if anyone has any experience with what I am going through or if anyone has a subseptate uterus.
Hi ya JESSICA i'm not of much help to you but i wanted to pop by and say i wish you the absolute heartfelt best of everything with this pregnancy ... Hey, if it helps any i had my 1st bub at 40 naturally conceived & a natural birth ... so, i guess i'm trying to say "Anything is possible"
(i bleed a 6wks but i found out this extremely common ... so don't stress if it happens ok) !!
Just wondering how everything went with your pregnancy?I have just been diagnosed with the same thing and Im wondering whether I will ever be able to have kids?
Hi Jessica,
I just wanted to say congratulations on your pregnancy.
I have no experience with a subseptate uterus, but i have had 2 miscarriages and then a wonderful baby boy at new year. Unfortunately, miscarriages are common and may be more common than you think because people don't always talk about it. You are certainly not alone.
It is always difficult, but try to relax and enjoy your preganancy. You need to look after yourself and it sounds as though your doctors are taking care of you, which is good. With DS I had a really positive feeling that the pregnancy was a good 'un and all was going to be well, I hope that you can have that too for this pregnancy.
