Just after some advice from the wise and experienced!
I'm 22 weeks pg with baby no.1, until now when bubs kicked I could feel it was in the area just under my belly button, now when it kicks it feels like it's right down near my vagina?? Don't know if it's changed positions or getting too big to stay up top? Should it be down there yet???
Your baby still has heaps of room to move around and will. I read in one book or the other I had that at that age its like they have fun (why not) bouncing off the walls, so to speak. I like that thought. I'm at 30 weeks and only in the past week or two has my little rabbit stopped doing these massive rolls that had the same effect you're describing. One minute all the way up here, the next down there...
I can speak from experiencing the same thing. My baby has been sitting low for weeks now and about 95% of the kicking is down low, I have had the odd kick in the belly. So I wouldn't worry about it. I had my Ultrasound done and she was laying low and have been to hospital and she was still laying low and no one seemed to say it was a cause for any concern.
Most of my movements were down low at that stage, either from baby being in a breech position and kicking low with their feet, or from baby being head down and pushing with their arms. Either way, baby will be all over the place at this stage because they are still small enough to get down low into the pelvis and have plenty of space around them to move around.
Hi Kristin. My babies are kicking all over the place. Some days they are tap dancing on my bladder- its like a popping feeling, and other days they are kicking over my belly. Little girl (Addy) moved from head down to feet down overnight- from scans!!! So they still have plenty of room to move around and dance.
Sounds like bubba has moved. Enjoy all that kicking, wont be for too much longer!! GL,
Mel
Hi there
I am pregnant with my second and am 23 weeks now. I have also found the exact thing! With DS, the kicking was much higher and never that low, this one is happily kicking away as low down as my pubic bone (although it feels WAY lower)
Stay well
Rachel
im 33 weeks an have found the same thing saw my midwife today an she said baby is breech an is licking straight down so that explains it. my bub has plenty of room an probably wont turn till birth so im not worried but i do find it more painful especially when she kids my but.
