    4D Ultrasounds In Adelaide

I posted this in the SA thread, but thought I would post it in here as well for the SA girls that don't visit the SA thread and in case anyone was considering having one done.

Last week I heard about a girl I know going for a 4D ultrasound. She said it was costing her $150 and would be done in Mile End. I think she also said they would get a copy of it on DVD.

I think I would consider doing it, if I ever went on to have another child.

Wow, you girls are so lucky. Mine cost $235, I got $85 back from medicare but that still makes it $150. Although I must say that it is so worth it. My bubs pictres turned out great. I had it done at 31 weeks as they say bub has more body fat then and you get a better picture. Have to agree too. I have some on bubs web page if you want to check them out.

    Take care

    I had a 4D u/s last week as well as a 3D.

There was a specialist there so it went for 50 mins and we got a great video. I can highly recommend it as the detail was amazing.

It cost $150 including $10 for the video with $85 rebate from Medicare.

Ellen, I just organised one privately. I called up the place made an appointment and asked my GP for a referral. The early ones are cute bute as you can see once they are a bit fatter they turn out heaps clearer. I am soooo happy that I had them done and they are so worth the extra $$. I figured that it was my last baby so what the heck.

Tummy is ALOT bigger now. Have to get some recent pics on there. Am dying to have her so that I can meet her, oh and yeah so I can not be pg anymore. Too swollen now.

    Takme care

    Hi Trish,

Where abouts in Sydney did you have your 4D ultrasound done?
Ive been looking on the net and found a place in Baulkham Hills called the Sydney Ultrasound For Women but it doesnt tell you how much it costs. How much notice do you have to give when making an appointment?

Trish - tried to go into your site to check out the pics but it says something about it expiring...

I'm having my 4D scan done this week @ Fetal Fotos. I also know that Benson Radiology in Adelaide (Melbourne St I think) does them as well and I was told that it was without a referal.

I will have to let you all know how it goes and I will post the pics on my website so you can have a look!! I'm hoping Emerson will be in a lovely position for photos hehe!!

    Wish me luck.

Lea ~ wishing you Goodluck - great that you can get u/s without referal.

I had same problem - it was 12 months ago - March 2005 and I didn't notice at first.

Tom & Katie can do their baby anytime they like

Can't wait to see Emerson's photos too - we are having our 18-19 week scan tomorrow and hope to see our babies in 4D and get it on video - some ladies have really good pics on their websites.

It will cost us $65 out of pocket (they bill medicare $trest). Their blank videos cost $5 but we are taking our own.

I could the get u/s 'free' but the hospital won't let you video of it - only gives you photos. Last time they gave us heaps but the sonographer was pregnant and very nice to us - most people only get 3 she said.

    Hey Trish

How did you go with your scan?

I've had mine done and am updating the site now. Let me know if you want to look & I'll PM you the password.

I thought it was so fantastic! We got some great pics and it was amazing to see what was going on in there. He was waving his hands about, sticking his tongue out and even did a HUGE yawn - it was sooo adorable!!! Definately worth the money! We got a heap of coloured and black & white photo's & the DVD of the whole scan!!
