Eza - I am sure your apprehension is completely normal, try and relax and enjoy what your body is making! One thing I have learnt in life is that no amount of worrying or stressing changes anything, so I hope you can take some of that and believe in yourself. This is an amazing time in your life and you should try and connect with your baby because in 3 weeks time when you see that little bub on the ultasound everything will be fine xxx
Completely normal! I didn't feel movement until 22 or 23 weeks, and its hard to remember that its real, and there is a growing bub in there. I think its a protective mechanism to have one part of your brain preparing for if something goes wrong. I still find it hard to believe we made something so cool. I found it so amazing when i did see bub up on the screen, my heart just grew. I loved every movement bub gave me because i waited so long! Enjoy your ultrasound when it comes.
totally normal! i didnt feel DD1 until the 21-22 week mark. even then it was so feint that i kept it a secret for a week as i wasnt sure. and that was with a posterior placenta (placenta at the back and apparently easier to feel bubs move).
it's really normal for first pregnancies to be quiet for quite a while
i also reckon at that 15-19 week mark it's tricky because all the early pg signs taper off and the later pg signs havent yet started. you'll get there babe
I'm 17 weeks with my first bub and I haven't really felt anything and as everyone has said, its completely normal to not feel anything for a while yet. Also, try not to stress about the bump everyone is different. I had a friend who didn't even look pregnant until like 20 ish weeks!
With regards to aches and pains - your body is doing a lot of streching and moving to accommodate what it has to go through in the coming months. Unless the pain is bad or you are bleeding everything you are experiencing is most likely normal! But if you are really stressing perhaps a quick visit to the Doc would put your mind at ease
Also, its normal to worry especially if you haven't seen bubs yet. But I can guarantee once you see your little one on the screen nothing else matters, not veins, not stretch marks, not the size of your boobs - nothing! Just try and relax darl. You are making a baby! Its super exciting!
Hey its okay to feel that way. Ur just craving the confirmation by actually being able to see the baby. It is there it has a heartbeat. you already told us that.. so therefore you shouldn't stress too much over it. Wait until your scan and everything will be different. Its magical once you actually see them
My dr never gave me a blood HCG test to confirm pregnancy. I put on only 1kg in the first 14 weeks, my belly didn't really grow much at all. And until my first scan at 13 weeks I was also feeling very much like yourself. I was worried something was wrong with the baby. Or that maybe i wasn't really pregnant.... But once I saw the baby that all changed. It still doesn't seem real, and probably won't until i'm holding him in my arms. But I have heard his heartbeat. I can feel him move all the time now and I know he is real..
It will come soon for you too. Don't try and focus on the movements so much. Your placenta may be positioned at the front, meaning there is more tissue between ur outside tum and bubs, and u may not feel kicks yet.
I have felt my boy kicking since like 15 weeks, but its only really become strong since about 20 weeks. So just be patient The kicks just feel like a little twitch to start with.. and the 'flutter' movement to me is very hard to distinguish between baby and gas..
It'll be right mate. I don't look pregnant in the slightest - just thicker around the middle. Have you been measuring your belly? I was pretty amazed to find that mine is 10cm bigger already, even though I have put on no weight. I don't know where it's coming from!
The movement might catch you when you least expect it - I hardly ever feel it when I'm lying down.
I am so sure it's all fine.... do try to relax
