Answer a few questions for me?

I feel like a first time mum again, I don't remember much about DD's pregnancy. Unfortunately I've blocked alot of it out as it was a bit traumatic. Especially from 20w.

17+3 today (yay!). Bubs is sooo hyper, alot more than what DD was.

Is it normal to be getting non-painful tightenings? My OB said that you don't get BH under 34 weeks (yeah right!). They aren't painful but I've been noticing maybe 10 a day this week. Usually if I really need to pee or have just peed.
Or, if I move too fast.

I feel like bubs is trying to get out of me. Like he's pushing really hard on one side of my belly at times. He's only tiny, how could I be feeling him so well already?

I'm not getting many kicks on the front of my belly. Could I have an anterior placenta? Will that affect my VBAC?

I'm sure there's more questions, but DD just woke up.

    Thanks, ladies.

They sound like they could be BH, my sister had them from 12 weeks onwards with her 3rd bub, I had them on and off from around 20-22 weeks or so.

I think it is definitely normal to get tightenings early on. They will probably get stronger later on, but lots of people get BH early on. I would think that even if it feels like bub is pushing though it is more than likely your uterus stretching and tightening slightly, not babies hand or foot pushing itms! I didn't get ANY kicks at all at 17 weeks - was 21 and then 24 weeks - so i wouldn't' be too worried about what you are feeling and and anterior placenta just yet. It is more likely bub moving around a bit along with the uterus stretching. I think the only thing if you do have an anterior placenta is the baby is more like to be posterior - so optimal positional will be really important later on - at the moment bub has plenty of room to float and play so it's not an issue yet. I also haven't read my VBAC stuff for nearly 4 years so I might have that wrong!!

    HI!!

I am prrtty sure BH are common way before 34 weeks!!! If they dont hurt, I wouldnt be worried!!!

You may have an anterier placenta, I did with DD and I barely felt her move at all before about 20 weeks. If you have a copy of your scan report... it should say on there what your placenta is And I dont think either placenta would have an impact on a VBAC..the only way that would happen is if it was placenta previa (sp) and was actually covering your cervix!!!

I hope you enjoy this pregnancy as much as you can!!! xoxoxo

I first got them at around 20 weeks, i didn't know what they were until i had my first middie appt and she told me i was having a tightening and i was like "wow i had no idea what it was!" its completely normal. They shouldn't be painful.

Are you really having a boy?? Congrats!!!

Your tightenings and the hard feeling of something pushing up to your skin sounds exactly like BH. I had BH really early and they definitely exist early on- its just less common either to get them or maybe just feel them earlier on. My BH always make the right side of my belly harden and protrude as the uterus naturally leans more towards the right in most cases.

Re placenta I have an anterior placenta and it's usually completely fine as the placenta tends go move upwards as the uterus grows upwards.

Anterior placenta has no effect on a VBAC. Mine was anterior. DD2 was in the perfect birthing position when I went into labour (I'm sure lots of early labour helped with that).

Yes its normal to start getting bh earlier in subsequent pregnancies. Mine start about 12 to 15 wks now. Take note of them though and act if you have any concerns about them.

If you are feeling movements at the side but not at the front, sounds like an anterior placenta. I had an anterior placenta with #5 and i felt her heaps at the sides. I would not think an anterior placenta would affect chances of a VBAC, only if it was low.

    ^^ this!

I had anterior placentas for both of my VBA2C's, the only concern that they usually have is if the placenta knits itself into the scar tissue from the section, but I don't think its that common. My babies weren't posterior either (well not when I went into labour anyway, DD3 flipped a bit before dropping into the birth canal) so don't worry too much about the placement of it

I had BH's earlier each pregnancy, so they were definitely happening before the time that your OB said they occur at
