    Smile Baby Hiccups!

    Hi all,

Just recently i've noticed these little jolts in my belly, and didn't really think much of them except that i knew it was coming from our girl!

Then last night i was reading about being at 21 weeks, and it said that it's at this stage that bubs gets the hiccups and they get them quite frequently too... so far i've felt them 5 different times today and they feel like she would be hiccuping (even if she's not) and when she does it, they are about 5 seconds apart, and DP said he could feel them from the outside! Also, they're too "light" to be kicks etc, because i can really feel when she kicks!

So my question is, is this hiccups i'm feeling?!

Ok, i'm starting to feel bad now...

So far today she's had about 20 hiccup episodes all with about 10 "jolts" in each, and each episode is spaced about 5-10 minutes apart... is it normal to be getting them THAT MUCH?!!!

It was cute at first but now it doesn't stop. I feel like i'm doing something wrong, and everyone keeps asking me what i'm eating differently - that's the thing, i'm not doing anything or eating anything out of the ordinary!!

I'd say you are probably eating too much chocolate!!
I hope they go away soon... must be a bit annoying after a while if it goes on and on!
Maybe one of the girls here will have gone through it too i'm sure...

ooohh thanks babe! I have been eating chocolate, but the same amount as always

It doesn't hurt, but they're really strong jolts, and i'm worried too because she hasn't been doing her normal big kicks for 3 days now, its only the hiccups....

I got them ALL the time when i was pg.. every night for about half an hour each time and often a few times a day too...totally normal and she still gets them now every day! Dont stress about the big kicks- she may have just moved to a possie where you cant feel them as strongly - just wait a few weeks!!

    Thanks Tan... phew!

I was seriously panicking. I started crying because i thought there was something i was doing wrong! I think it's hard to not freak out about every little thing when you're pg. And the hormones don't help...

Completely normal hun... I didnt even feel Izzy til 21 weeks so it was hard not to stress... you can always try relaxing on the couch feet up and drink an icy cold water and see if it stirs her up a bit!! Good luck!

BTW...Your thumb sucking ultrasound Pic is soo cute!!

I loved to feel the hiccups. Would place something - anything on my tummy and just stare!! And yes they get hiccups a lot!! Of all the things of pregnancy - it's feeling her inside me that I miss the most. Enjoy her!!!
