Your 'muscle spasms' sounds like baby to me!! I often get little vibrations and I know it's bub![]()
Hi ladies, need your help, going a little insane here!
I have an anterior placenta and am 21 +4 days along. For the last 2 weeks I have been feeling little muscle spasms in my lower abdomen, my little bubbles that I was having stopped at this time too. Mainly feel them in the middle in the same spot but occasionally to the left/right of that spot.
Another first time mother told me that it was prolly just a muscle spasm and not baby kicking because its only in the one area. This has freaked me out.
I was so hoping it was baby kicking. I can even feel it on the outside.....
Please help!

Is it common with and anterior placenta to only have them in same spot... My friend freaked me out now....
Hi BubbleKitten
It sounds like your baby kicking to me.
Your baby is only kicking in 1 spot because he/she has found a comfy place to lie. You will probably find that in the next few days your baby will change position and the kicks will move to another spot.
One of the things that happen with an anterior placenta is that for you to feel kicks through it (your placenta has no sensation. Neither you or your baby can feel anything that happens to it) your baby needs to give a fairly strong kick. At this stage your baby is not strong enough for you to feel any of her kicks through the placenta. You can only feel the kicks that hit your uterus directly. And therefore, depending upon the position of the placenta, it feels like your baby is only kicking in the one spot.
Your uterus can and often dose spasm during pregnancy. Braxton Hicks and labour are the uterus spamming.
Thanks Alan, very reassuring. I know tis not Braxton Hicks and I know its not labour. So she must jsut be kicking me in the uterus.
