Thanks Mel, Wow how are you feeling? What do you do all day, stay close to home etc? How long will they leave you before they give you assistance? Is baby engaged?
I can go over 10 to 14 days then we start talking another c-section. I stay at home but only because I have the monster to take care of too. And nope, baby is not engaged.
Hope you are feeling better today. I know what its like to be vomiting and have the poo poos all too well!!!!
(I had them at 8 weeks, 14 weeks, 26 weeks, 34 weeks and 38 weeks.. at least I'm consistent... )
yeh ur bub will be fine.. ive had some horrible gut pains from the damn poo problem aswell.... used to freak me out alot too but ive been that sore that i havent been able to move and bubs still in there
YEP I have had gastro 2ce this preg and doc told me that mostly things that effect you dont pass to the bubs - you will be fine!!
Hope you feel better soon!!
Love
Kate
Yep everything should be fine - the dr told me that when I had gastro (and nasty cramps every 15minutes!) the most important thing was to keep your fluids up so as not to dehydrate the baby. The pains are shocking aren't they? I took it easy until they had subsided, then went back to normal but couldn't feel the baby moving much after that gastro bout. Then I had my scan today and it turns out the lack of movement (or me feeling it) is due to the placenta being in front and that it is unlikely the gastro would have harmed my baby. She is perfectly healthy in every way!
Hun, I had a tummy bug 5 times when pg with DS2. It was the absolute pits, especially with a toddler to look after as well, but the baby was (and is!) just fine. No need to worry about that. Just do what you can to not get dehydrated, and if you do, let your carer know as they can arrange for you to go to hossy for a drip. I hope you feel better soon.
Thanks guys, I feel heaps better now after your posts. I am glad though that I stayed home for a rest. I am looking forward to my next scan although it is a month away. But at the end of the month I will Dr and I hope he will listen for the heart beat, that will ease my mind even more.
