    Unhappy Bleeding....

    Hiya All,

I havent been in here for a few weeks and just wanted to let everyone know what has been happening, as when I first posted, everyone is just so lovely and caring.

On Decenber 9th, I was sitting at my son's school all ready to watch him graduate Year 7, when I felt something was not wright. I said to my sister, I have either wet myself, or I am bleeding, with that, we went to the toilets, and there was blood everywhere. My sister went and called Mum, and then she took me up to the hospital.

I was so upset that I was going to miss his graduation.... I have waited 7 years for this, and I didnt get to see it.

I got up the hospital, and told them what was happening, that I was 11 weeks and I was bleeding. Then we waited for 2 hours before I was called in, and that was just to check my temp and blood pressure. I had to do a urine test aswell.

I think I waited another 2-3 hours before the Doctor called me in. She told me that I had a urine infection, she asked if I felt buring when I wee'd, and I said no. She then proceed to do an internal, she said all looked fine, there was no tissue and no clots, but she said she couldnt tell if my cervix was open or closed.

Then we had another waiting game, the gyno was in emergency surgry and I had to wait for the Doctor to talk to them before I could go home. In the meantime, I was kinda scared and worried, but in all honesty I was more upset that I missed my son's gradution... Is this bad?

They checked my blood pressure again and it was very high, and they were a little worried. By 5:30pm the Doctor said I could go, and that I had to go to the Early Pregnancy Unit 2 days later.

Thursday came and before I had my antinatal check up, I went to the other clinic, and they done an ultra sound ( internal mind you), they couldn't really see anything so I had to wait for another Doctor to come and do it, and they said that the Baby was fine, heart beat 150bpm and moving lots.

They said ( and I have read a few posts) that bleeding is a natural thing to happen while pregnant, they said it was more the likely a corner of the placenta that tore away.

So if that is that case, could the tare get bigger???

So now the bleeding has stopped, but it doesnt stop me worrying. I do get some brown tinge when I wipe, some days its a little and other days there is none at all. I wear a pad just incase.

Also when I wipe, if there is no brown tinge, I can see yellow, from what I have read in here, that also is the norm.....

The things we do..... And the joys.

Hi huggabug, that sounds like a terrible thing to go through. Don't worry about missing your sons graduation - if you had stayed and something happened to the baby he may blame himself. At the end of the day he has graduated and you can always have special bonding time by talking about the night together, one to one talking can sometimes be more important than being there in person.
I'm glad everything has settled down.

Like TL :hugs: you poor love. It is scary and I have had 3 bleeds this go. Apparently it is 'normal' but as the mum it mkaes it none the less frightening.
However I so understand that you felt more strongly about your son. Just rescently I had a placental abruption (lift of the placenta) at 25 weeks. This was fairly serious, but my husband got quite cross when all I was concerned about was the welfare of my 2 year old.
Glad all is well with you.

Huggabug- I had pretty much exactly the same thing happen to me, too. I know how you feel when the doctors say everything is fine but you can't help but worry. All I can say is stay positive and if the docs say all is good, then it is. Easier said than done.

    Hi huggabug,
I too bled at 13 weeks and because I had a previous loss at 19 weeks I thought the same thing was going to happen to us again. The doctors told me pretty much the same thing that you were told , that it was membranes tearing away from the uterine wall. I had(stupidly) pushed a shopping trolley the day before that was too heavy for me. Anyway I went on to have a healthy baby girl and Im sure you will go on to have a healthy bub too.
    Take care of yourself
