    Brown blood?

I have a friend who's 12/13 weeks pregnant. The last 2 days she's had some brown blood. & she's a bit sore, but we assume thats just her body doing its thing.

I tried my best to reassure her that it should be ok, but has anyone got any idea's why it could be happening?

I'm pretty confident that its just some old blood & baby is fine, but she's not so sure.

Anyone else experienced this? I have, but it was much later in pregnancy, so a bit different.

    Brown blood?

Has as had a scan yet?

Brown blood can be from a sub chorionic hematoma.

I'd reassure her but recommend she see her GP. I only say this because I had similar bleeding at 13 weeks once and went to the ED to be checked. I then found out that I'd had a silent miscarriage at 8 weeks.

Obviously at this point you wouldn't mention anything about loss but just to cover all bases it's best to be checked I'd say.

I wish her all the best!

I did tell her about them & suggest she keep an eye on it, & if she's still having it, or worried in 2 or 3 days to go to the gp.
I also told her if she was worried she can go ask at the hospital.

    Brown blood?

That's all you can do Hun.

Hopefully it's just one of those things.

If she's had sex recently that can do it too.

But everything you've told her, is great

    Brown blood?

I unfortunately had a similar experience to Sara. Had some brownish discharge had my scan at 13 weeks to be told I had also miscarried.

I would be suggesting she seek medical advice, has she had a scan yet during this pregnancy?

Another who had brown blood too and when i went for a scan had been told i was having a miscarriage

I am an "err on the side of caution" type of girl and even though this can be common in pregnancy and many go on to have happy and health babies, i would still get it checked.
I think too having it checked now is good for her own piece of mind. She will know one way or the other.

I so hope though it is just one of those things fingers are crossed for all to be fine x

She had a scan done only a week or so ago. Everything was perfect then.
