can you get mastitis while your pregnant

i am nearly 18 weeks preggas - and my left nipple is sooooo sore and it stings a bit to touch or rub it - it is quite hard feels like im high beaming all the time lol ....

it hurts so much to squeeze it i thought i migh be blocked.... i did get some white stuff come out like milk which relieved it a bit but its still very sore ... ( i also stopped breast feeding my DS 9 months ago with no problems at all)

it is so painful ... can you get mastitis while pregnant ?????

I do believe you can get mastitis even when you are not pregnant nor breastfeeding, so I would say it's possible you may have mastitis. Ouch, I hope it improves without needing any treatment. Maybe some cold washers would help.
PS From my experience, mastitis has been in the whole breast. Maybe you have an infection. Best get it checked out xo

Just because you don't have thrush anywhere else does not nean that it is not thrush. It could also be mastitis uncommon in non-breastfeeding women but not unknown. I think you need to get it checked

Yes you can. I didn't realise this but a woman I met at my daughters kinder developed it in her third trimester.
I would say get checked out.

    All the best,
    Debbie
