    correct lenght???

Hi guys..i just have a question, iam a member of a pregnancy site..and every week they send me emails roughly explaining whats going on with my pregnancy during that week..i got one today (im 20 weeks) it says that the baby should be about 23cm in length but i had a scan last week and on my scan pic it says 9.7cm does anyone know if that is the length of the baby or what??cause there is a HUGE difference between 9cm and 23 cm....was just wondering.......

Maybe it's 9.7cm for the length of something else?

I agree, i'd say it's the length of something else..! maybe a leg, arm, neck to rump..? etc.

    hey there
i would say that this is the measurement of another part of the baby not the whole baby! also some sites give stats for the measurements of the whole baby & others do crown to rump (so you would add legs). I think dont worry about it if they said the scan was OK, I think sometimes we get too much incomplete info and we can worry ourselves over nothing - I know I do!!! Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

Do you have a written report with it? Maybe it's explained in that.

On my ticker for 20 weeks it says baby should be around 5.5 to 6.5inches (crown to rump) which converts to 16.5cm

true my bub at 20 wks was 24cm crown to toes however most books etc normally give you the average length from crown to rump. don't stress all is ok i'm sure

I didn't get a written report this time either. I went to Sydney Ultrasound for Women & they sent the report straight to the Dr - wouldn't give me a copy.
