Sounds a bit like what I was having - except I felt really hot as well - passed after a couple of minutes. I got checked out at the GP, and I'm getting my next round of blood tests next week - if nothing shows up there I'm going to put it down to weird preggie hormones

could be low blood sugar level, had you eaten anything for a while before that? hope your blood tests show a good easy fixable reason for it!

I started getting dizzy spells somewhere around that stage of pregnancy, and yep they freaked me out. Wasn't when I moved or stood up suddenly, wasn't low blood sugar, didn't seem to be blood pressure related either.

I had a trip to hospital - mostly for my own peace of mind - & they pretty much put it down to stress & told me to slow down & that did actually help.

Don't know if that's any help to you, there are a lot of things it could be. Hope you can sort out what's causing it, it isn't nice I know

this started happening to me around 24 weeks as well. i didnt even have to be doing anything and all of a sudden i would get hot flushes and go really dizzy and sometimes my vision blacked out or a felt nauseous. unfortunately it lasted for weeks. i had numerous blood tests to check iron levels and BP test but they were all fine. my m/w just put it down to rapidly elevating blood/sugar levels and says its completely normal in pregnancies. basically she said to eat numerous small, healthy meals a day and when you go from laying down to standing up do it in stages i.e stop for a bit when you get to a sitting position. also from personal experience try not to go out alone if you can help it. i had a dizzy spell while standing in kmart and my vision blacked out and i fell over, i was just happy that DP was there and a lady at the checkout muct have seen it coming coz i recon she was standing over me before i hit the floor. it was very embarrassing lol

    take care of yourself hunni

Not sure of you remember but I was getting the dizzy spells in which I also felt hot and sick with, I havent had any since checking my BSL's so I am putting it down to the GD for me. I did though have lots of dizzy spells when pg with my first and didnt have GD, so that was just normal pggy hormones for me then. Maybe ask if you can do the GTT early to check if you have GD.

I think I'll die if I have GD Csab! The diet for GD is almost the exact opposite of the diet for my PKU, and if I don't stick rigidly to the PKU diet it ends in birth defects for bubs so I'm petrified of GD. All I keep hearing from other women with PKU who have been unlucky to have GD is how unmanageable it is with the two diets. I'll definitely get it checked though. I think I'm doing the test next week anyway...
