Does birthweight size increase woth consecutive pregnancies?

    Hi

I had my first son weighing 8 pound 10....my daughter 3 years later weighing 9 pound 10. With my third what is the opinion of most....do babies get bigger with consecutive pregancies???

    Opinions all please....JAC

It really does vary heaps - there are a lot of factors that determine baby's birthweight. for me, #1 was 4.18kg, #2 was 3.85 and #3 was 4.32. So try not to worry about it - there isn't anything you can do once baby is in there.

Not necessarily. My SIL had 3 around 9lb and the 4th was only 7lb something

My two, so far have been 7lb 5 and 9lb 1. The 9lber was easier to deliver.

My first 2 were born on their due dates and both weighed 8lb 7oz. Riley was over 2 weeks early and weighed 8lb 3oz so I think he wouldve been much bigger if he'd gone full term.

I agree with you on that one. I had stitches everywhere for my first 8 pounder, my 9 pound came herself with 2 pushes and no stitches.

Looks like there is hope for me yet. Thanks everybody!

I like those 7lb's great for consistency!

My girls we're 10p13, 10p4 and my biggest at 10p14 They we're all beautiful and fed really well, really cuddly too, I love big babies and I have no doubt this one will be big as well, the size scared me with my first, but not any more, my oldest girl is now average weight and my two youngest are just right in the middle of their weight range, so size doesn't have any bearing one how they are in the future.
I'm sure you'll have a beautiful baby no matter what the size is

Alex was 1.9 kilos (4lbs 3oz) and Ned was 9lbs something (4.4 kilos)

But I had pre-eclampsia with Alex quite badly and he was six weeks early. I was heavily medicated with Ned and he was eight days late.

DS was smaller than DD and it appears im not huge with #3 but in saying that i hid DD very well to so i may go bigger.
Everyone is different just like with pregnancys and labour and everything else associated with having kids. Its interesting though isnt it.

My first was 6'10, second 6'4 and last 5'3 the funny thing is and yes i know its bad but i smoked with the first two. My last bubs stopped growing or something (poor little thing had blisters on her hands from sucking them in the womb) and they wanted her out but she was soo skinny and tiny it was scary!!!
My sister on the other hand has three, all boys 9'1, 8'7 and 10'2
