    Red face Is everything okay?

    Okay, so I am a huge worry-wart...

Over the past few days I feel like my pregnancy has come to a bit of a standstill. My belly doesn't seem to be getting any bigger (not that it was very big to begin with). It seems less hard too. I used to have a huge appetite, where I felt like I needed to eat every hour - that seems to have gone. I haven't even eaten that much today, but I just don't feel hungry. And lastly, and the one I'm most concerned about is baby's movements. Sure, I only felt my first movements about a week and a half ago, but I'd then been having some strong kicks, and had been starting to feel him move throughout the day. Then yesterday I barely felt him move, and when I did it was very soft (barely noticeable), and now I haven't felt any movement at all since 2am. I've tried sitting down quietly for awhile, I've tried eating something sugary, drinking something cold, poking my belly... nothing. Needless to say, I'm getting worried. Should I be worried, or is bubs just having an exceptionally quiet day?

hun - I am pretty sure bub is just chillin', but if it would make you feel better you should always pop down to your care provider for a check up.

But rest assured, most of us have days just like what you are having!

Well, thankfully, bubs has decided to move a little for me tonight. He's had a very, very quiet day indeed! Thanks for your reassurances - it did make me feel much better.

That's great that you got some movement again. Rest assured that at your stage you can go ages without feeling movement. It can be really worrying though. I remember it well.

I used to find that eating chocolate always worked as did having a slurpy and then lying down on my left side. Getting someone to blow a raspberry on your tummy can also work (but you shouldn't do that too often).

    Sterla,

At this stage you're just starting to feel bubs move and depending on the position he is in you may go a while in between kicks. As he gets bigger you'll feel lots more!

Don't worry about the size of your belly either, it will go through growth spurts, one day you'll wake up and won't be able to do up your jeans! Be grateful it's not happening too quickly as that can cause those dreaded stretch marks!

As for your appitite, don't worry, your hormones change a lot during your pregnancy and that affects you appitite. I was starving hungry up until about 25 weeks, couldn't get enough food, then my appitite went back to normal, then from 33-ish weeks I was hardly hungry at all because there was just no room for food with bubs squashing my stomach and organs!

Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy

BumbleBee never moved at all yesterday...or if he did i never felt a thing...i was worried...so i tried every trick in the book to get movement...no luck...

He made up for it today though

Appetite changes from day to day with me....

Tummy might be small then the following week pop out of no where!

I used to worry about the lack of movement some days too, and I even had one day where I was convinced something was wrong. So I just lay really still on my left side and talked to the babe, and sure enough it was fine. The baby will often move when you're asleep too and so you won't feel it. DH often says he feels kicks in the night, and I don't even notice. Rest assurred all is well and baby is just having a quiet day. We all have up and down days, and the baby does too.

My appetitie also fluctuates, and I just think "Oh its a growing time again", or "Its a resting time". Its amazing how our bodies adapt to the needs of our babe. Relish the amazing feat your body is achieving and try not to worry. That being said if you're desperate to feel it again, anything with caffeine will sure liven the little one up, that includes tea, coffee and chocolate! You might regret it though once it kicks all night long!!
