    Talking Feeling baby move ??

Hi everyone, just wanted to know when you guys first started feeling your baby move? I am very sure that I have been feeling mine move for the last week or so (starting around 12-13 weeks) It feels like fluttering/vibrations that I have never felt before. I thought in the beginning it was gas, but I am noticing it more and more and it's getting more pronounced every day. I tell my friends that I am feeling him move and they just laugh and say it's too early. I know I'm not going out of my mind. I am certain it's the baby. When did you all start feeling your baby? I have read that some women can feel as early as 13 weeks but it's not that common, what do yall think???

    Hi Chrissy
What you have described certianly does sound like first flutters, 13 weeks is quite early but it's definitely possible, I was 15 weeks when i felt my bubs for the first time, and then I didn't feel anything for another week or so.
Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy

    Hi Chrissy,
I first felt my bubba move (flutters) at 13 weeks and got my first hard kick at 14 weeks! Tell your friends you know what your talking about - definately sounds like your baby to me!

Me too, I felt the flutters at 13 weeks and felt kicks late 14-15 weeks. Even now the kicks are inconsistant but I cant wait till they are more often. Problem is once you feel the kicks they are addictive and you want to feel them all the time.

    Hi,

I think that i felt the first movement at the start of 13 weeks - Crystal, i thought it was wind too, but nothing eventuated (much to the delight of DH). I didnt feel anything for another couple of days, but now i think that i am feeling something that is not usual most days at varieng different times.

I am really looking forward to the proper kicks though... I guess i will soon be wishing that i did not when i am kicked in the back etc

I am 14 weeks and I don't think I have felt anything. Where abouts do you feel the fluttering? Is it down low, somewhere higher?

I felt my first baby at 16 weeks and I actually felt a few little flutters from the second one at 10 weeks - doctors will tell you that's it's not but as far as I'm concerned, I'd felt it before so I knew immediately what it was. He then went quiet for a few weeks after that and I started feeling him again at about 14 weeks.

The thing about moving babies is that it's not a sensation you feel all the time, so you certainly notice it when it happens, even if it is your first! It never felt like gas, or bubbles or anything else to me...it was a completely different, new feeling and that's how I knew with such certainty what it was

It's awesome, enjoy every second you'll miss it when it's over!

marknjo, I am feeling them about 4 or 5 inches below my navel. Always in the same spot. I have to be resting (sitting down still or lying down) to feel it.

I'm sixteen weeks, and felt it for the first time about 10-12 days ago. Always when laying down, and not particularly frequent... and i always feel it about an inch below my belly button and 2-3 inches to the left. it sort of fells like a feather tickling put from the inside. there are so many ways i have tried to describe it... it's almost like a pattering little feeling. i was amzed to think i could feel it this early, but i'm excited to presume it so all the same! especially after reading the above post also.

I've been gettin the crud kicked out of me since 16weeks, he's a big boy. I felt little twinges etc early on but was told it was too early to feel anything. Now my tum is a constant plate of jelly Alien style lol. Trust your instincts, some people can feel it a lot earlier. I had a midwife tell me if you are really thin you are more likely to feel it earlier and for u to be able to feel it on the outside earlier as well.

    Hi Caz,

I am 16 weeks and still have not felt anything! I know what you mean about wanting just one kick to know all is ok! It seems like such a long wait between the 12 and 19 week scans when you can actually see bub and know that all is ok.

I started feeling butterflies last Saturday, just twice, and then on Sunday bebe was doing laps. I feel bebe a few times a day (even right now!) It all started at 16w+2 days! No kicks yet though.
The feelings a bit strange, like someone gently blowing on your skin or ants crawling on your skin. Still seems like 'Alien' to me!!
    I'm waiting for kicks!!
    Good luck all!!!!
