i had 2 surprises, but was really tempted this time to find out. Had the ultrasound and decided that i could hold on to find out. I might need the extra motivation (to find out the sex of my little one) towards the end of the pregnancy more than i do now.

Our first was a surprise and our second will be as well. It has been tempting to find out this time around, especially as we had a CVS test at 12 weeks so could have known 100% since way back then! It's also strange going to my midwife appointments knowing the gender is right there in my notes... but we've stayed strong and will have another surprise

I loved the surprise all three times!!!

It was so incredibly special for me when DH looked me in the eye and told me:
1st: "It's a girl! We have a beautiful princess" with teary eyes.
2nd: "OMG it's a boy!! We have a gorgeous boy" once again with teary eyes.
3rd: "We have another precious boy. He is another perfect boy" with a kiss and a tear.

I will never forget those 3 moments. It was the most amazing way to find out what our kids were.

Also by not knowing DH went shopping as soon as possible after bubby was born and bought our baby their first gender specific outfit. I still have these outfits for each of the kids. Doesn't sound like much but DH hates shopping but he loved going and picking their first outfit which became their going home outfit. Once again incredibly special moments.

These moments outweighed being able to paint a room or have gender specific clothes for me.
