I'd keep in regular touch with your doctor to monitor what's going on and you yourself keep a close eye on your body temp as a fever is not good for baby. Taking a panadol to keep any fever at bay is much safer than having a fever when pregnant. If you think you have a fever id call your Dr or OB.
I advise that you most definitely see a dr asap if you feel like that.
There's not much you can really take but you definitely need a dr to be taking care of you. I got the flu when 25wks with one of mine, a simple flu that had my dd affected for a few days had me knocked down and took a month to recover from. I had an OB appt so went to that, my bp was 65/40 (extremely dangerously low) and i was coughing so much they thought i had whooping cough. I was admitted immediately and put on a drip in clinic before they sent me to the ward where i was put in isolation. I had fluid on the lungs as well. When i went home i spent the next week in bed on panadeine forte as the codeine in the forte's is what stops you coughing, this is the only thing i was allowed to take.
So please, see a dr, cos you sound as bad as i was.
Hope you are ok I would be going to the Dr and getting checked out to make sure it isn't something more serious and also taking the panadol if you need it, bub will be fine and it will help you with pain relief and lowering your fever. xoxoxo
I went back to the doctor on Tuesday, he basically said keep taking panadol, rest and keep drinking. It was the same dr as I saw first which I guess is good, but I didn't really like him the first time i went and now I dont like him more...
Good news is I haven't felt feverish since then. and I am drinking heaps and resting etc.. But still feel crook, headache, sore throat, this damn cough and Im loosing my voice. So I'm taking a couple of extra days off on my own merit. I really need to kick this.
Even more good news is Spock is moving around and kicking more and more everyday, and harder kicks, in new places, so Spock must be ok all safe in a little bubble.
I got a horrible chest infection when i was 33 weeks pregnant. It really hit me for six. I just took panadol around the clock and drank lots of fluid and slept whenever i could. I also went through a spout of nesting so there i was sick as a dog scrubbing the kitchen floor.
It sucks getting sick while pregnant there isn't much we can have to feel better and our body tries hard to keep the baby safe so we feel extra crappy
