    Foggy

I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced really bad foggyness during the 2nd trimester. I am nearly 26weeks and on occasion my head feels really cloudy (iykwim) and heavy. I have also had a slight headache for a couple of days. Has anyone else had this and was it anything?

I didn't with my pregnancy with DD but it sounds like a good reason to visit your GP.

    Could it be low iron?

    Are you getting enough sleep?

Just mention it at your next appointment unless you suddenly start feeling really unwell or start to swell badly.

I'm only 16 weeks but i get the foggy, heavy aching as well. My ob had mentioned that migraines can increase in the 2nd trimester and that can be a symptom of a mild one. Did you get migraines or bad headaches when you first fell pregnant or before?

I woke up with a headache every day for about 3 weeks at the beginning on my second trimester, and they lasted til lunchtime on most days. They weren't really bad, but just enough to make me feel pretty horrible. Fortunately they have gone away now, and when I asked my Dr about them, she just said it was normal, and due to changing hormone levels. I still have foginess though, where I cant remember what it is I'm doing, or what I wanted to buy when I get to the shops!

I didn't. Perhaps mention it to your MW/OB net visit... If it's all normal, perhaps try taking a Krill Oil or Salmon Oil supplement, that will probably help. I never got any baby brain or fogginess, but was diligent with taking the fish oil - try and avoid normal fish oil though as they tend to have Tuna in it which isn't too great for PG women. Krill / Salmon is the best IMO.
