gestation estimate out by 10 weeks?!!

Hiya ladies,
Had my 19 week ultrasound the other week and the print out we received states
'based on an earlier scan the current gestation is estimated at about 29 weeks'.
Did he mean 19 weeks and just made a typo? Doesn't the 'current gestation' just mean how far along you are?
Not worried, just curious.

Surely it would be a typo?
Have you had any other scans that confirmed your date. The 12 week scan is most accurate.
My scans were always giving different dates, but only out by 1-2 weeks.
I'm sure your doctor will let you know at your next visit.
My first pregnancy seemed to go soo slow that i would have been over the moon if someone said i was 10 weeks further than i thought! lol

Ooh I would be calling my dr to make sure it was just a typo! Surely it was just a mistake, otherwise they would have said something then & there?

Cat i would go and ask to have another scan done just so you know what the real gestation is.

well, bubs is a clomid creation so it can't be 10 weeks more advanced......clomid requires a strict schedule!
I'll still check it out with my dr. though.......it would be cool if I was really 29 weeks - I can't wait to hold him/her, so the sooner the better!

Wow yeh id say its a typo.. what were you on your earlier scan?

See the dr. in a few weeks time......on the earlier scan it was dated correctly...must be a typo.....but I'll still ask.
