    Headaches?

I'm getting headaches quite often. I don't remember getting them with my last pregnancy, though I may have forgotten! Is it common and anything I can do to prevent them?

Fairly common unfortunately. Make sure you drink plenty of water as dehydration can be a common cause but otherwise I haven't heard of anything that's a sure fire way of getting rid of them.

I had bad headaches and migraines during second trimester with this last pregnancy. I found that going to the Osteo really helped. He showed me some exercises I could do when I first felt a headache coming on to stop them getting worse and also gave me heaps of relief when I was there. I had never been to an Osteo before this but now I am a convert!

Thanks ladies for the tips. I am trying to drink more water. I think I just forget about it during the middle of the day. Will have to keep a closer eye on it, all the toilet trips put me off too! One glass of water equals at least three toilet trips!

I've had a headache pretty much the entire time and I take a water bottle with me everywhere. You do end up considering wearing an adult nappy in light of how many times you need to pee, but when you consider the alternative...I think of it as nature making me exercise! I find sometimes water can be really hard to drink, so I've bought some Gatorade powder and I mix up my own Gatorade. It replaces your fluids but also your electrolytes, so you don't have to drink as much water to stave off those really nasty headaches.

Just make sure you are getting your blood pressure checked regularly too, as it can be an indication of high blood pressure.
