I have read a few things regarding when the baby develops it's hearing and how the baby can hear different things in the womb like the mother's heartbeat and blood pumping through the umbilical cord etc.....and I know our baby can already hear all that but when does the baby actually hear the mother's voice?
Am i at the stage now where our baby can probably hear and recognise my familiar voice?
I'm curious.....I talk to our baby a fair bit and soon would like to start reading short stories every night before i fall asleep to the baby.... i've read that you can do this and when the baby is born and you read to them, they can sometimes understand and remember the familiar words/sounds of the story that they were told in utero, and it can help calm them and make them feel comfortable/secure and familiar. Not only for this reason, but also as "bonding" time for me and baby, where I get to spend that special 15mins of the night just talking to baby.
Hope i'm making sense, i'm so tired and have PG brain!!![]()
