Its safe to sleep on your belly for as long as it feels comfy...they say sleep on ur left side cause if u lie on ur right side that's where ur kidneys r and bubs weight can squash them and make it uncomfy, and sleeping on ur back puts pressure on ur spine and vena cava (big artery)...but ur body is a very clever thing and if ur on ur back and blood presure starts to drop you will roll onto your side. So sleep however is comfy for as long as poss. I've always been a belly sleeper but I find if I sleep on my belly now (25 weeks) I get constantly kicked by bubs. Have found having a L shaped pilow helps cause u can hug it and put between ur knees so u can sleep half on ur belly half on ur side. Hope this helps
I often wake up on my tummy or back and Im 33 weeks. Have always just gone with the flow, with all my pregnancies. I think your body will tell you if you shouldn't lie in a certain position. If I was restricted to left side only I think I'd go crazy!
i always wake up on my stomach or my back....oops!!!!
Agree with the other ladies...wait till 3rd tri....gosh i dont even get to sleep let alone worry about positions to go to sleep in....enjoy it now hun.....
