    Talking Huuuuge!

This is what I hear every day....gee your huuuuge... you sure it's not twins (I insert funny reference to the newly huge twin sisters above singular baby)... my daughter/friend/relative was that big full term.....you're looking veeeeeery pregnant today.... morning fatty...

har fooking har har no joke.. it's endless and I try and be light hearted about it but grrrr, people are so insensitive. Even though they are 'joking' hearing it 'jokingly' from 10 people or so a day gets very... well lets just say its hard to be light hearted by the 10th time.

Yes I do look very pregnant for 19 weeks but at my 16 week check up the mid wife said all very normal, so normal in fact I'm boring apparently! My placenta is anterior, could this make my tummy look bigger? Just curious really. I dont care and I am not overly concerned about above, just venting really. I am enjoying this pregnancy more as I know it will likely be the last one. I am sure some of you are copping the same. At least this time I am not getting as many advice/horror birth stories etc as everone knows its my 2nd..

for us all... I need it

I was recieving similar comments around half way with this pregnancy. I would get those "oh, you still have 4 months to go!" comments, and the look of shock that goes with it. Now at 39 weeks people are telling me I don't look like I am due in a week. I think this is just as annoying to be honest - I feel like I should be having a baby right now!!

I think we just get bigger earlier the second time and then it gets back on track as we get closer to the end. Try to ignore the insensitive people, they don't mean to be insensitive (I hope not anyway).

I was big cause I put on a lot of weight in the 1st tri, LOL!
I am just about as big now as I was at the end of my last pregnancy. And I still have 7-9 weeks to go
The second time round everything just stretches out more easily.
I'm sorry you are copping it from all sides People just can't help themselves As always, remind yourself that things people say to pregnant women are all about them, not about you.

I get the same thing. It's my second pg and I definitely started showing earlier this time around. I think people don't realise how insensitive they are being and I just try to ignore it! DH says I should be nasty and say 'yes there is a baby in there what's your excuse' lol. Trust me I've considered it!!!

Not sure about the placenta. I had an anterior placenta last time but a posterior one now and I'm probably a bit bigger now than I was at the same stage with my first.

    Another HUGE belly here!
You should see it now!!!! I am surprised I can still walk!
I don't get too many comments anymore. People just assume I AM having twins, an just get looks of shock on their faces when they see the belly.
I love my belly getting so much attention... maybe I am just weird??

I'm quite big this time too. With DD i got big early then stayed the same (well it seemed) for ages. I think that wil happen again but def bigger for 15 weeks than I was with DD. It doesn't matter what shape or size you are though - people always feel like they can comment. My gf is 30 weeks and tiny and people are alwasy asking her if the baby is okay.

For some reason when you are pregnant people feel they can offer an opinion on your weight. And if they don't directly say it, they say things like, "oh you're ONLY 4months?" In other words - YOU ARE SO FAT! ha ha Oh well - just go with the flow! Everyone is diff!

Why don't people just lay off? Geez.

It's not their business to comment. I'm the sort of person who would probably say, "Oh, thank you for that heartless comment. It's just what I needed today." and walk away.

People don't dare say that sort of thing to me anyway, 'cause they know I'll respond accordingly (see above). Plenty of people copped it when I was having DS. But I was getting the opposite - you're not very big, is everything OK? Have you been to the Dr?????? etc, etc. DS's placenta was anterior then too, so I'm not sure how much that effects it.

I'm bigger this time, because it's my second, but also the placenta is posterior and I reckon (not medical opinion) it must be pushing the baby forward.

"Yes, but in X months, I'm going to lose all this weight - what are you doing about your face?"

Reveal in your beauty hon - because you ARE gorgeous! Send me a pick of your wonderful belly!
