If it's worrying you definitely get to the doctor hun. It could be a blood pressure issue, which needs to be checked. It could also be a migraine coming on, that's how they start for me. Big![]()
I need some advice please...
I woke up about 3.30am this morning to go to the loo. Walked down the hall and walked straight into the wall... I just thought I was half asleep. Got back to bed the room started spinning... And spinning... And spinning.
And it hasn't stopped since. I managed to go back to sleep about 5am and have just gotten up but still feel like I'm swaying back and forth?
I'm eating some toast and don't feel sick, but can feel a headache starting...
Should I head to my GP or Ob? Should I just lie down and wait for it to pass?
It's starting to worry me...
Ta, Nic

go to the dr hun. better to get checked and it be nothing then not go and it turn into something.
hope it gets better soon.
hmmm I would book in with your GP as it could be a number of things affecting your BP. for me, i had blackouts and dizzy crazy spells that were attributable to silly low iron and needed some supplements to kick it back up into the realm of normal.
Definitely get it checked out could be a number of things low blood pressure, anemia, inner ear problem. Have you been vomiting much? Could you be dehydrated?
Thanks girls... It seems like such an obvious question doesn't it?
I've made an appt with my Ob for later today.
The headache has eased, but the dizziness is still there.
SR, I haven't been sick at all, no vomitting at any point of my pregnancy. I was busy yesterday, cleaning the house etc. Nothing out of the ordinary for a weekend, but I did stop doing the ironing halfway through because I was feeling really tired and had a few pains in the tummy.
Thanks again x
Poor love, dizziness is so disconcerting and uncomfortable. I agree it could be low iron or a BP issue, apparently it drops a bit in second tri. Hope you get some answers at your appt this arvo x
Back from my Ob. BP was fine (100/60), low but not bottomed out.
He said it was probably a combination of dehydration, the heat in Bris yesterday and trying to do too much around the house. I'm pinned to the couch with my water bottle in hand for the afternoon
Bub is ok, moving around on the u/s and a nice HB of 150bpm.
I'm feeling better this afternoon, less dizzy but still weak and tired.
Thanks again girls x
Glad you are feeling better hun. I was always dizzy with my pregnancy with M and my Bp was the same low but not overly low. It was particularly bad when I had a shower in the morning so much so I'd have to sit on the floor of the shower. MW at the time suggested to put a chair in there to prevent falls. Hopedully it doesnt continue for you though xx
JUsT saw this-so glad everything is okay. How are you feeling now though?
urgh....feeling dizzy is the pits
Glad that you were able to get in to the see the OB and make sure that all is well, nothing like peace of mind i reckon.
Loving the idea of lying on a couch...ahhhhhh!
Glad you could put your mind at ease. Rest up x
apparently your blood pressure incrementally drops from when you fall preg to about half way through, when it reaches its lowest. Then it slowly rises again to normal or slightly higher until birth. At almost exactly half way through I felt it- about two weeks of random dizziness married with nausea and yawning/sudden tiredness. This was after no morning sickness in first tri at all! But seems to have settled again.![]()
Hey there.
Vertigo was actually what first came to mind for me hun.
If it occurs again like that I would enquire with the doctor about it.
Hope u feel better soon
