Red face I can't stop eating.....

    Hi Girls,

Not sure if I am normal or not. I'm nearly 24weeks and in the last week or so I have noticed that I never feel full.....

Seriously I just ate a pie and a ham and mayo twirl for lunch and I could still eat ...LOL
I'm feeling a bit like Ms. Piggy because prior to this I had a very small tummy so if I ate more than I should I would actually feel sick.

Is it normal for our appetites to be ginormous around about this time???

    Hi Dee,

I am kinda in the same boat, especially this week for some reason (bottomless pit of food) but it prob started a couple weeks ago...I used to feel like that the week before my period but I also think that our bubba's are growing heaps at the moment and as they are getting bigger, they are needing more energy and hence why we feel hungrier.
What I have been doing is trying to have smaller meals but more often. I.e small bowl of Special K advantage at 7am, 2 pieces of mutli grain at 9:30-10:00. Sometimes a piece of fruit around 11:30 if I am starving..Lunch around 12:30-1pm (whatever it is but not too big, usually left over or a sandwich!) then 3-4pm, I have some fruit or a yogurt. Dinner around 6:30-7pm and supper is strawberries, ice cream or a yogurt ( or a piece of chocolate too!! ) I drink close to 2 ltr of water a day. I try to eat the carbs ( bread, rice, pasta) earlier in the day and only have veggies or salad & grilled fish/chicken/beef/pork at dinner. This helps with me not packing on too much weight as the carbs have time to burn before you go to bed.
If you are going to eat a lot, I try to make it as healthy as possible with a couple treats along the way... If your tummy is rumbling, then your body is telling you feed me, just be mindful of what you feed it.

Hope this helps a bit, sorry for the rant.

    Hey Moose...

    your always welcome to rant
I know your right but I can't control myself at the moment if I feel like a pie then I can't make myself eat anything else.... and please don't get between me and a tub of icecream....LOL

Your right though .... I'll try and follow your schedule and see how I go

DH says most of the time when you feel hungry you are actually thirsty. So maybe try and increase your fluids at the same pace and see if you notice your feeling fuller sooner.... just a thought.

Hey don't get me wrong here, I had chips and gravy with a fried chicken strip for lunch on Saturday and been wanting that AGAIN every day this week!! LOL The cravings, per say, are definately getting stronger..so if it was a pie that you wanted, sometimes, you just got to indulge!

My eating habits haven't changed at all. I was not a big eater before, and haven't felt the need to eat more since being pregnant either. I do eat a bit of low GI food though so maybe thats why...
I still feel physically sick if I over fill myself.

I love KFC Chicken Strips dunked in gravy, but thats a very rare treat cause I know that will not benefit bump and it will just go straight to my butt and that will be tough to get rid off after. But I have to have pink iced finger bun almost every day for morning tea!

Seriously though I know I have to make more of an effort..... I haven't put on a lot of weight yet apart from peanut and all his bits and pieces....lol

I think your right Puppies if I go back to my training diet and stick to low GI I don't think I'll crave as much..... Damn white bread!

Dee, I have the perfect answer for you... Bakers Delight do a lovely WHITE loaf called low GI and its Yummy! Its the only bread I buy now. I know its not cheap but damn its good!

MissKylie: I love the Bakers Delight finger buns also. But the 4 pack you get from Woolies always works well on the weekends! God I hope they are not fattening?
