    Hi there!

I am just on 16 weeks and am HUGE!! I was wondering the exact same thing as you..is this normal??? and you know what - i dont have an answer because i dont think that anything is normal in pregnancy, we are all different and we will all experience different things. If you are that concerned speak to a midwife or GP...I look like im 6mnts if not more. For me however it could also be because i am not as regular (if you know what i mean) so i do bloat a lot, and also becuase prior to my pregnancy i always had a bit of a tubby belly.

I say enjoy it while it lasts cos its a beautiful thing to be this huge

I get comments all the time.."gee your huge"..are you sure its not twins???....are you sure youre only 4 mnths??...oh youre going to have a huge baby!! LOL...its neverending.

Dont forget though that there is a lot more than just a baby in there so it needs to grow and make room for just about everything.

Good luck with the rest of the pregnancy and remember..we all grow different!!

If it's any consolation, when I was pregnant with my first, the first sign for me was that my clothes were fitting a bit too snuggly!! Things that used to hang off me were getting tight - and I wasn't even four weeks at the time!! (Admittedly I was VERY active, and small and slender too). I had people asking me at six months pregnant if I was due "any day now", and I'd say, no, I've still got 3 months to go, and they'd say, "oh it must be twins then" ... no, just the one, very big, very healthy baby!!

This time I'm on my 4th, and at 27 weeks, people are just starting to notice .... (perhaps it's all the big jumpers and many layers of early winter clothes that have hidden it though!!) But having said that, I do feel smaller at this stage than I did with my other three - this time around though, I have a low lying placenta, whereas the other three were high, so I wonder if placenta position has anything to do with it too ...

Like the others have said, everyone is different, and if your drs and/or midwives aren't concerned, then neither should you be!
