Hi Keira,
Hang in there...it won't last long. Be prepared that you will be on a rollercoaster, even after your precious little girl is born. Sometimes knowing it's all hormonal can help, because then atleast you know what is causing it all. As long as your partner understands just how much the hormones do affect women during & after pregnancy, he'll soon learn to go with the flow (mine had to learn although it took him three pregnancies to really clue on!!). I found he was always asking what was wrong which was the worst possible thing he could ever say, because I would say - NOTHING'S WRONG...GRRRR & he would look at me like I had two heads. Once he learnt to read my body language, he'd just stay out of my way, say nothing & make a cuppa for me. Anyway, just hopping on here & getting it out is absolutely wonderful. You need to vent!!
On an aside, our gorgeous little baby has your gorgeous name - Keira. She's two months old now & we've found some people are mispronouncing her name, which I wasn't prepared for. Lots of people seem to think it's pronounced K-i-rr-a, rather than the softer K-ee-ra. Do you ever have people mispronounce your name, even slightly? I might be overreacting - hormones again I'm sorry to say....they do hang around, the nasty things. DH keeps saying people will learn once they hear us pronounce it more often, & I suppose it is a rare name where I'm from, although I think it's becoming more & more popular. I'd love to put a pic of our little one on here, but I haven't figured out how to do it just yet. Need more time.....ah thems the breaks.
sit down, relax & have a cuppa tea!
I have my happy days and my p!ssed off days. haha, that sounds so bad.
Today is a p!ssed off day because i had a dream last night that my man let one of his ex girlfriends (from 6 years ago..) sleep over in our spare room. I woke up soooo annoyed! I couldn't help but hate him for what he did in my dream! haha
Even now Im still p!ssed at the thought of it.... bast@rd!!!
Hey Keira, hang in there ok. Think of it this way, you have some great stories for dinner parties and hanging out with friends after the baby is born!! I have been very lucky and haven't experienced any of these mood swings as yet (I am 18 wks pg), but then again I am known for speaking my mind anyway!! he he
Hey, I'm having a girl too! Keep smiling ok, Nicole
I am like you Gracie. My best friend was driving me crazy. She kept telling me that I was should be eating more and that I had blood pressure problems and that I should be careful because I might become a diabetic...etc etc... the list of my possible complications went on.
I am 58kg and 169cm tall. I used to go to they gym a lot and I eat pretty healthy food. My doctor can't see any problems with my weight or blood pressure either, so I think I will go with his opinion
My friend is the type that takes 10 to 15 different types of vitamins tablets a day, so she likes to preach about health a bit.
Anyway, eventually, I blew up at my friend and told her the only thing that would give me a blood pressure problem was her if she didn't stop telling me that I was sick!!! She stopped talking to me last week... Oooops!
