Yesterday I went to our annual agriculture show (you know, rides, horse/cattle shows, stalls etc) I was on my feet for a good 5 hours...however when i got home. I felt VERY unusuall.
It was around 8pm and I decided to go to bed, as I had a very bad, nausiating back/high neck pain.
I mean, this neck ache was actually making me feel like vomiting. But it wasnt severe pain, it was just this aching disconfort pain.
I couldnt sleep, and actually started getting teary...DP tried to rub my back/neck, but it just made me agro, and i snapped at him.
I then started feeling light heading, nuasia and my arms went numb and tingly.
I woke up this morning, with very little recollection of what happened, like, when i think about it, it feels like it happened a week ago...its really hard to explain.
(Its sorta like when you have a few too many drinks one night and you cant quiet remeber what you did the next morning) However I can assure you I hadnt drank, and havent touched a drop since finding out im expecting...it was just the easiest way to describe the feeling...
What the heck was it? What happened? Was it just my silly hormones? And is this faint memory all normal? Or should I start worrying.
I would be going to the dr about the tingly arms legs and neck/head pain. I used to get tingly arms from stress but had to have it investigated as it can also be sign of stroke/heart attach etc. Pregnancy places a lot of extra stress on your body and it might just be that you have put your back out or something but I would certainly be getting it checked
I get quite a lot of aches and pains and I often wind up feeling nauseous so I'd say it's normal preggy stuff. I actually felt quite off and exhausted last night as I'd done preggy yoga yesterday and worked quite hard. I think the extra stretching may have released some toxins (like massage can do) and that's why I felt off. I slept well and feel great today though (albeit a bit sore from all the wonderful yoga poses!).
Being on your feet is very tiring while pregnant too hon. Only last weekend I experienced the joys of this as it was my 30th birthday and I was cleaning and preparing food all day then up entertaining guests until 2am. My lower back was agony and once again, I wound up feeling off.
So based on my experiences, I'd say it's all normal. Take it a bit easier from now on and I suggest a warm, relaxing bath and drink lots of water when you feel like you've overdone it.
PS: as Saram said though, bring up the tingling sensations with your health care provider
went to the doc, and my blood pressure was all fine. havent had high blood pressure at all.
Little worried, but ill keep a watch on it and see if it happens again
