itchy puffy hands???

last night i woke up several times with really itchy hands, i am surprised i didn't split the skin open with my fingernails they were that itchy... it seemed they were a bit puffy and red and at one point they were so bad i had to get cold wet facewashers to wrap them in because i couldn't stand it... when i woke up they were back to normal, theres no bites or lumps or any sign of anything any ideas?

Could be this:

Pruritic urticarial papules and plaques of pregnancy (PUPPP)

Have a search on Google and see if it can help you out. It seems that topical steriod creams are the way to go - hope that helps

I had that when i was pregnant. Mention it to your carer. It could be cholestasis... very important. I'll see if my thread in the "ask a professional" is still there...
