okies, i been leaking since about 15 weeks - but it comes and goes big time - when it first started, i got it fairly noticably after maybe a week or two - it started as stickyness in my bra, then i stuck to hubbies back, and it got to the point i could see droplets on my nipples
then it went away at about 18 weeks - nothing that i could visibly see (though i still stuck to him a few times!).
today, i'm feeling really cruddy from the heat - am drinking lots, but still feeling dehydrated - and all of a sudden, i have huge droplets of colostrum on my boobs! i was thinking it would be the opposite - while i'm well hydrated it would be normal, but feeling drhydrated would lose it all...
is this normal? is my body going into "baby preserving" mode and taking fluids from me and pumping it into my boobs for her? i'm still feeling rather dehydrated (my eyes are dry and sore, that's a sign for me) - have been through about 2L of water and a large boost juice, been staying inside except for maybe an hour when i had to go out...
i guess i just want to know i'm normal! well, as normal as is possible for me
Lol, yep, normal.
Everyone is different. I didn't know what a BP was til my milk came in on day 3 & I woke up soaking!
& yes, your losing everything to bubs & your boobs!
Totally normal...
Other than breast pads, the other thing to think about is a booby bib, i swore by mine for night time leaks, i had 2 and i washed them each morning, (they are quick dry)... it means that you dont have to wear a bra to bed - heaps more comfortable.
Time for the breast pads me thinks... and a little (perhaps naughty )word of advice on the side - be extra careful now when DTD and 'O'.... the first time I 'O' after I started leaking I freaked out... it was like someone had turned on a tap
Seems no-one tells you about things such as this... lucky you have me for that hunny
i mentioned this to DH before - apparently i've been leaking more than he let on at "those" times holly - cos he was telling me what it tasted like! hmmmm....
i'm not leaking like a tap yet (thankfully), but hey, who knows - it's always interesting to see what changes my body is going through. baby is super active today too - think she knows mummy is trying to stay hydrated so she's moving heaps and making me pee soooo often!
Yep woke up drenched in it several times, I actually thought it was abnormal when a freind of mine said she'd never leaked before birth. But everyone's different i have learned. My mum told me she was the same from about the time she first fely movement when preg.
