I am getting the worst lower back pain. With DD it didnt start til the last trimester but now whenever I lay on my back its sort of crunches and cracks, even more when I turn to the side. The only relief is our waterbed lol heat packs arent working either. Is there anything else I can do to kind of reduce this pain, maybe some exercise or stretches I dont know about?
Hi Renee,
You poor thing, having to cope with back pain already. I don't know if you have heard about the Pelvic Tilt exercise. You can either do it standing up against a wall or down on all fours. If your standing against a wall, inhale while pressing the small of your back into the wall and relax the muscles against your spine, and slowly exhale and repeat several times. I personally prefer doing the exercise on all fours. Just rock your pelvis back and forth, keeping your back straight and flush, slow breathing is important too. It's meant to be a good exercise for combating sciatica pain too.
I hope it helps you, I especially noticed the pain improving over a week or so, then I just kept it up til I gave birth.
No worries, I just hope it helps you, it can't be much fun when you have another to chase around as well. Just remember try them over a week or so, as I didn't notice a huge difference until then, but it did help a little to begin with. Fingers crossed for you. Good luck!!
