    Morphology scan on dvd???

I am just curious whether anyone has gotten their ultrasound on DVD.

My mum lives interstate but would really like to see the scan. Someone told me that you get it on DVD but I wanted to see if anyone has had this done before I ring the imaging place and sound like a moron.

If they cant do that, can you get pictures on a thumb drive or something (I dont have a scanner) so I can send them via email?

    Thanks for your help!

    Thanks AJP.

I dont mind buying it from them if it means my mum gets a nice surprise! She will love being able to see her first grandchild as I think she has been feeling like she is missing out

I will ring the imaging place tomorrow to check with them if they do it there.

    Hi Alibaby

Some places can definitely do DVDs of your scan, but not everywhere. This pregnancy, we got bubs scan on a dvd but it was only photo's, not the full scan with moverment etc. But yep, you can definitely got the whole scan on dvd it just depends on which place you go and get it done at (and which machine they have there).

    Good luck!

    Hi Alibaby,
I had my ultrasound at Sydney Ultrasound for women and they provide the full scan on DVD for $15. What you are seeing at the time of your scan is what they will burn onto dvd. And the best bit is the $15 goes to children's charities!

That is fantastic that they donate the money to a children's charity! What a great idea! My scan is at Northern Womens Imaging so fingers crossed!

I would ring them and find out what they do. Most places these days would have the facilities to offer you your scan on dvd. My ob did mine and i got a dvd of pics and even some video of bubs in 4D. Way to cute to miss out on if you can do it!

You will need to check with the scan place you are going to. Where I went you just had to buy their DVD for $20. They then put the 12 week scan and the 22 week one on the same disk. We have normal pics, 3D & 4D (3D with movement) all on the disk. It was great to show to the grand parents and my DstepD who couldn't come to the scans.

Wow I feel special, we just got given ours at 12 weeks, along with three high res colour photo print outs, don't think we paid for it or anything

Thought it might have been factored into the price of the scan which was more than my sister paid for hers...

the place we go to are fantastic and give you a full DVD of the entire ultrasound at every scan you go to. They even give you a print out of the good pics!!! the DVD is a lovely keepsake.
