Is this normal???

Hello i was just wondering if anyone else has had their colostrum come in yet? I'm 25 weeks and the other night in the shower i was leaking milk from both nipples and the next morning my bb's were really hard and sore. This didn't happen with my first pregnancy until i was about 32 weeks and i had my DS at 34 weeks. I did however have a big scare at 23 weeks and was admitted to hospital with regular contractions and a lot of pain. The labour started because i had an infection and i have an irritable uterus. Was wondering whether this false labour has brought my milk on early. Any help or advice would be great as my doctor didnt really give me any explanation just said my body was doing everything early.

It's not uncommon to have colostrum during pregnancy, even as early as 25 weeks especially if you've had a baby before.

I'm not sure about the preterm labour bringing your milk on early...it's possible I guess but not really likely. Do you actually have milk there or is it just hard boobs and colostrum? If it's just that I'd guess it's hormone related. The signal for your body to go into full on "milk production" mode is sent to your brain when the placenta separates after the birth.

If you're worried though, you should press your doctor for some input especially given your history of bubbies coming early?

Oh yeah I started leaking very early too, in my last pregnancy. I think It was only in the last trimester though
It was quite gross , coz no matter how many breast pads i used id wake up in the morning with a wet shirt!

wow didn't know that could happen yet. May answer a question for me though. I thought i felt wetness the other morning and wondered where it was coming from. I will have to keep an eye out for it now. Is it coloured or clear, does it smell? Can you explain what this looks like at all?

im 24ish week and only one boob has 'leaked' so far. do they *both* do it or just one?
and if the leakage is just from one is that meaning my other boob wont be any good for BFing??
