    Is this...normal? Probably TMI.

Oh my god!!! I am 22w2d and I. Am. Sooooo. Gassy! Like, My Fart Will Go On type gassy. And the smell, it makes my eyes water and causes small animals to die around me. What the??! Is this a normal pregnancy thing? My diet hasn't changed drastically or anything, I drink heaps of water. I have gone in the past week from being very constipated (and gassy) to having almost the runs (and still bloody gassy!) It's becoming an issue at work, I have to waddle off to the loo's, and if I'm lucky enough to find no one is in the toilets, I can let rip.

Please, tell me this is normal and will go away, I am soooo embarrassed, I've even been farting without meaning too in the most awkward of times, people can barely stand near me ATM times one hundred.

I've been quite gassy throughout - some days are worse than others, but it is quite horrible when they need to be held in

I say let rip whenever - you're allowed

OMG you poor love!! Sorry but I just had a little giggle I was really gassy too and it smelled pretty bad from memory. My cat went to heaven 2 weeks before bub arrived but I don't think it was the farts that killed her, lol. One of my friends was so bad that her hubby moved out of the bedroom for a while....
I think it's just your body changing with the pregnancy and the hormones. Hope it improves soon! Way to go on 22 weeks!

Miss.B aww I'm sorry about your cat I feel sad now. I think DF will need to move out of bed if this continues!

Well I give you permission to fart in front of me It's the least I can do considering how much you'll see/hear when I give birth

I had never farted in front of my DH..... Until I was pregnant with DS. I was lying in bed, reading.. He was watching TV in the lounge annnndddd it just... Um... slipped out! He came running in screaming "Did you just FART!?" of course I said no so he actually sniffed around to see if he could smell it!! Then backed off in horror!!! Hahahahaha!!!
So....ahem, yes.. Very common. Another lovely, glamorous side effect of pregnancy!

BAHAHA stoked! Luckily DF and I are ferals and have farted in front of each other lots...he was actually impressed with the sheer bum tearing epicness of them until he got his first whiff...now he (very sweetly) tries to ignore it and stay near me as he knows how crap it makes me feel...but he does so with streaming eyes!

Oh, and before I had told DD of this pregnancy I accidentally 'let one go' in front of her and she asked "Mum are you pregnant or something because you only ever fart when you're pregnant!?"
Needless to say, secret was soon out!

DH and I have been fart friendly since the very early days....when I let one slip out in the middle of the night (after really garlicky Chinese!) thinking DH was asleep only to hear him mutter 'well that's bloody lovely, isn't it!' I was SO embarrassed but have never looked back

So I thought we'd been through enough in the fart department that nothing would surprise us but boy did things step up a notch when I was UTD. It was wrong, wrong, wrong! I cleared the room (and our bed!) on many occasions! DH threatened to move to the spare room as he was sick of the dutchies!

Yup, you're normal hon. Who would of thought baking a baby and baking farts went hand-in-hand

I have heard it was normal! I NEVER farted, like not even in private! Then one day while i was about 24 weeks pg, me and dh were on the couch being Silly and one just slipped out! We were both so shocked then dh started laughing cause I was going "omg I farted!!!! I farted! Babe did you hear it??" I was so excited!!! Then he started telling everyone! And I cried. Hahahahaha...

After I gave birth I found I felt gassy but didn't fart... I swear my body is stupid and doesn't know how to do it... And I make my husband fart outside, maybe you will have to start sticking your bum out the door? Lol

So yes it's normal for most people!! And you currently have an excuse!!! Go for it.
