OMG - i'm so embarassed TMI...

I can't believe i just did this... i just had the biggest sneeze and lost all bladder control and wet myself

I had no control over stopping it, it was just too big a gush. I've NEVER had bladder control issues and do countless pelvic floor exercises a day.

    OMG - i'm so embarrassed!!! I'm hoping this isn't a regular occurance!

hun, I did it once or twice through my pregnancy with Tobias & its not a regular occurance for me so I think you're pretty safe, I think it just sometimes happens during pregnancy

If it makes you feel better hun, when i was 15 i went on a date with dp we had been dating only about 4 months. he took me to a rugby club and there was a bistro. that day we had walked heaps and being summer time i think i got sun stroke so i had a big nap when we got back to his house and then as soon i woke up we went to dinner. anyways we were standing in line and i began to feel weird, my eye sight started to go funny, it got really dark i couldnt hear properly and i told dp that i didnt feel right he brushed it off and jokingly said dont pass out on me and i said i wont. I remember resting my head on his shoulder and then what seemed like an eternity i woke up on the floor.. i had collapsed in his arms and because of that i lost all control of my bladder and i peed myself.. a packed club saw what happened, some people laughed and pointed.. for a few weeks after i didnt have any control.. i peed myself again in the hospital and needed a whole new change of clothes.. another time at the mall dp made me laugh and i couldnt help it.. so im worried now that im pregnant as it can happen.

If it makes you feel better, I wet the bed last night DH was kinda snuggled up to me, too, so I had to try to sit straight up and roll him over onto his other side so he wouldn't roll into the puddle when I hopped out of bed... Then I realised I would have to climb over him to get out anyway (I sleep against the wall) so I had to wake him up, tell him what happened, and make him move to let me out before I could do anything about it.

Tonight I'm sleeping at my mum's so I hope it doesn't happen again lol

Hun trust me it happens to most of us! When I was about 32 weeks I had a banana milkshake (with this gross natural fruit laxative stuff in it), well I gagged on it and vomited all over myself and also wet myself for good measure! It's kind of funny, I was taking the fruit stuff to fix one pregnancy problem, but not only did it not fix the problem it created another pregnancy problem !!!!!
You just got to laugh - for me it was terrible right after the birth too, but then the ol' pelvic floor muscles begin to recover - thank goodness!

I'm not quite where you are...yet!

With DD i had IRON control, and only a littlebit of leakage for the 4-6 days after birth. I do masses of PFE's and can "stop" DH (iykwim! ) soi always thought i had great control...

Well, now i'm UTD again, and it's getting touch and go! I sometimes sneeze 2 or 3 times in a row, one right after another, and i tells ya, when that 2nd and 3rd sneeze happen it is VERY touch and GO! LOL.

Nice to know we're not alone anyway i guess...

I did HEAPS of pelvic exercises and have a weak bladder despite all that effort. It can happen to anyone!

I had terrible bladder control all through my second pregnancy. The worst incident was when I was 8 months preg and we were out on the boat, I choked on a drink and all the coughing made me wet myself. I had no spare clothes and there was no way to fix myself up so I had to sit in wee soaked pants for another two hours until we went in. I was standing with my back to the wall so DH didn't see lol. Thank goodness for black pants.

It was still bad for a couple of weeks after the birth, but all good now.

hehe... I had that too during each pregnancy - brace yourself she's gonna sneeze!! LOL

And at the moment, if I just think about going to the toilet and get there two seconds too late - I've peed myself.. LOL

I think it was about 2 or 3 days after giving birth, I turned the shower on and I was still dressed outside it, and just lost all control - nothing was going to stop that flood. Poor DH - I was wearing his undies AND his pants at the time.. bwahahahah

Its only slightly better now - so I'm hoping that the next few weeks bring back my pelvic floor muscles!!

hahahah it has now happened to me 3 times and i have strong pelvic floor muscles. Once at night I wet the bed.
Second time was when I was on the phone to a friend and just held it like I would normally do only it didn't hold lol
Third time was when I was vomiting late at night

It's safe to say I am now learning from these and under no circumstances can a pregnant woman attempt to hold it.. lol

My DH thinks it's extremely funny and tells all his mates... luckily I am good friends with most of them..lol
