    Pain with a full bladder?

    Hi

I am almost 15 weeks, and when my bladder is full, it is incredibly uncomfortable, even painful. Feels like stretching and pulling etc. Has anyone else had this? The pain goes away as soon as I empty my bladder (i.e. every hour ).

I haven't experienced this but it could be your ligaments being stretched. You should probably check with your doctor to be sure.

Maybe someone else can be of more help.
    All the best.

I have actually been having this recently as well! I had a feeling it was just really full and as the space is getting a little more cramped, that could be the problem? Not sure though!

Going to check with my Doc next week just to be sure.

I find I sometimes wake up at night with a pain because I need to go to the toilet. It goes as soon as I urinate. I assumed it was a lack of space and also my body telling me to make me wake up and go

Thanks everyone! I feel much more normal now. I guess it is just starting to run out of space down there. But if I feel like this now, what will it be like in third trimester? Yikes!

yeah it is strange how quickly the bladder can fill up again

If I have lots to drink I tend to be able to hold off going to the loo (my body uses up the fluids) but if I dont drink enough...I tend to get busting to go really often!

over night is the worst i've found! wake up, kinda need the loo, roll over, try to go back to sleep cos it's not a bad need - no choice but to go to the loo otherwise i lay awake with the "should i go, should i sleep" mantra in my head - and can't sleep anyway!

Yep, normal! Especially at night, it is really uncomfortable but instant relief after going.

Haha Briggsy's Girl, I do that too. Even if it's just a slight urge to go and I'm feeling so lazy I just make myself get up coz I know I won't be able to get back to sleep!

Yep I have the same thing as well! I have heard that it is worse in the first tri as the uterus is really low in the pelvis, it should (technically) ease a little in the 2nd tri as the uterus raises out of the pelvis and then goes back to being awful again in the 3rd as there is just no room anywhere! Wow! Doesn't that just lift everyones spirits I guess we'll just have to get used to being uncomfortable until after the birth!
