Hi everyone, I also suffer from SPD. I had it with my first pregnancy and I now have it again in my second pregnancy... Both pregnancies it started around 17-18 weeks, though this time I am finding it far more worse!
My first child was a book c/s as she was in a breech position, and up until now (last 4 weeks of pregnancy) this baby has been in a breech position also, so I am pretty unfamiliar with labour and vaginal birth.
I'm worried that it is going to make things difficult to birth naturally but I am definately going to give it my all! One thing that I have noticed is that earlier in the pregnancy, the only time I got truly comfortable with my pelvis was when I would lay on my side with my legs tight together. Now towards the end if feels so uncomfortable doing this that I am barely getting sleep, my partner has to help me to the toilet, and it feels as though it is 'stuck', bending the wrong way or going to break! I'm so scared of it breaking in child birth as my mum had SPD with her pregnancies and her biggest natural birth (also last natural birth) actually caused the pubis joint to break!
Any tips for labour and birth would be much appreciated!
