    Parcel delivery!

I just got the best mail delivery! My mum ordered me an Amby Baby Hammock and it just arrived . I'm so desperate to rip the box open and put it all together and cluck over it, but I know that's silly when i don't need it for another 4 months! I guess it'll have to be stored in the spare room with the other bits and pieces until closer to the time. Ho Hum I'll be good!

My mum bought us one when Zander was 7 weeks old & we looooved it!! If it were me, I'd be pulling it out & setting it up now LOL!! You can always pack it back away in the carry case when you're done clucking

Oh thats a thought, Sarah!! I might do that tonight after DH has gone to work and DS is in bed!! And then i'll pack it away again before i go to bed. Justification being that i need to check everything is there and correct! I hope the baby likes it!!!!!!

Exactly right, you can't leave it another 4 months before checking that all the bits are there

I've just googled the Amby Baby Hammock as I've never heard of it before and it looks great. My only question - do you have trouble getting baby to sleep in a cot once they grow out of it as they would be used to the rocking sensation?

Hi Krisp, well i'm yet to try it for myself as DS slept in a crib when he was small, but i always had to rock him to sleep. I reckon he would've loved the hammock. I haven't heard of any babies NOT liking it when they've tried it. Evan eventually grew out of needing to be rocked/BFd/carried to sleep so i'm assuming baby #2 will too. There are some great girls in the baby/toddler section who have used these hammocks and can give some advice/information.

well i put it together and it looks sooooooo gorgeous!!!!!!! I tucked teddy into the sleeping bag and snuggled him all up - he looks very comfortable and settled very quickly!! I just can't wait to put my own little real person in it!! Fly by 4 months...! And in any case, the hammock will store much easier in the travel case than in the original box, so it was a good thing i have got it all out

YAY!! I LOVE our hammock. You'll have to get the jump jump (which is made to use with the Amby frame) as well. I just bought it the other day and Oskar thought it was pretty damn cool to be upright and looking around!!

yeah! Cass, we ordered the whole package so i got the jump jump too. I had a jolly jumper for Evan when he was at that age and even though it's not recommended they spend a long time in those things, Evan absolutely LOVED it! We did limit the time he spent in it though. Was great though, especially at dinner time - meant i could eat with 2 hands - woo hoo!!

LG - I bought one two weeks ago (yes, at only 15 weeks pregnant) and it is assembled and taking pride of place in the corner of our lounge room. Go ahead and do it.......

WTG Linds!! I took pics of Oskar in his jump jump yesterday and he was laughing cos I was bouncing him... sooo adorable!

Amelia, they fold down to smaller than a portacot size. I'm in love with mine and Oskar sleeps so well in it. Mind you he will only sleep in it at night...lol.
