fatty!! :P hehehehe jkin embrace it, be proud of ur tum coz after october it'll be gone and then you;ll miss it, a big belly doesnt mean a big baby, also a small tummy doesnt mean small bub, when i went in to have miss c the midwife said i looked tiny and she'd be no bigger than 6pd....haha 8pd 2oz thank u very much!!
I don't think I "popped" until about 18 weeks and I was sooooo hanging out for a fat belly to show off! I would just let people know how proud you are of your belly and how you are creating a wonderful watery environment for your healthy little one!
I guess I got what I wanted because my belly is so huge now that a stranger commented on a photo of me on a friend's facebook and she said "OMG, did your baby eat a watermelon?!"
I started showing quite early, and now I am 30 weeks I am getting mixed responses.. within 5 mins of each other I can be told..
"Gee your tiny for 30 weeks"
"What a cute little bump"
"Thats a nice size bump, all out in front" or then
"OMG are you sure your not having twins"
"Geeze your huge"
I cant keep up, so I just smile and nod.. but I swear it does depend on what I am wearing as well! But everyone def just has to share their opinion!
hmmm...people can be stupid at times! I totally know how you feel, having not been able to wear my normal cloths since about 10wks pg! At 24wks I've already put on 10kg (so not as luck as you) and been told by my OB to do more exercise!
I wish that I could help you with some smart comments back but I dont know what they are either! At the moment I'm just trying to focus on being healthy and trying thinking about the baby rather than how I look (easier said than done). I hope that the people around you quickly pull their head in and let you enjoy this time rather than making you feel negative about it!
i love how people 'think' they know if you are big, small, dropped blah blah
i have been told i look like i'm ready to pop, and 'gee, you're not that big are you!' in the same week!!!
i just say, well i feel really well, thats all that matters hey!
dont take it to heart! my boss was 13 weeks pregnant when i finished up at work, and had soemone say 'ohh look you have alittle pot belly!' she is slim as, with no bump at all??? lol
I have a photo on my computer screen at work and it is of me and my younger sister and the photo was taken a week and a few days ago and the boss just cracked up laughing because apparently I have grown huge since that photo... I am wearing like 4 layers today because it is so cold and does everyone else notice that with different clothes you look different? Like some clothes I look extra small and others my tummy looks huge!
I dont worry about what people say though, I just enjoy my pregnancy and laugh it all off (But secretly think "**** I hope I'm not having a 10pounder like my cousin!")
I am paranoid now but come on I am only little and stand at like 166 cm....do I really look that big?
it feels a bit like you become public property when you're pg. people think it's okay to comment and offer opinions on absolutely everything i agree with serenitylee & think it really does depend on what you're wearing. yesterday i wore a tighter singlet under a cardigan & someone told me i finally look pg noooo....i just usually wear looser tops!
i didn't show for ages really (i put it down to already carrying weight on my belly ) and i was so jealous of a friend who was 5 weeks behind me & at 17 weeks had a beautiful bump. i think having a 'big' bump & looking obviously pg is awesome - be proud!
serenitylee - you don't look that big at all - and afterall, you do have less than 10 weeks to go!
I also agree with you Sloane! People think they can just comment about how you look and also just come up and touch your tummy! Like this morning I bought a hot choc from this cafe and a lady rubbed my stomach and said ohhhh look! I just smiled and walked off thinking what ever happened to personal space!
Other people feel free to post your photos lol! Or am I the only paranoid one at the moment
