Pink discharge after internal. HELP

Well, I won't go into the details but I was worried about the position of my cervix so I tried to see if I could feel it. I washed my hands and trimmed my nails first and read some of the previous threads about how to do it.

I don't know what I was feeling but I noticed afterwards that I had a little bit of pink in my CM. I am freaking out. I just need to know if this is ok or if I possibly have done some harm.

Obviously I am totally paranoid with this pregnancy so I am wondering if I should call my Ob. Or should I just relax.

Any ideas.

Hi Spring Angel, just quickly replying.. i have no medical knowledge whatsoever.. but just thought I'd try help a bit.. I've had pink discharge before, after I've had a pap smear. I have no idea why.. and never sought any advice about it afterwards.. but I just figured it was because of the pap smear.. and i wasn't pregnant at the time either... so really..... i'm not much help at all!! Sorry!

My advice would be ring your local hospital and talk to a midwife.
For some people (ie. me) it is normal to spot and have pink leakage for the whole pregnancy, but that didnt stop me from stressing out about it any less!
It is hard to know what is normal for your body and what isnt.
I would just ring the hospital and put your mind at ease either way, there is nothing worse than worrying about nothing

Hi girls

Well after that initial speck of pink there has been nothing. I am going to keep checking and then call my ob tomorrow morning. If it gets worse I have his mobile so I can call him during the night if I freak out.

i am very glad to hear it, your ob wont mind a phone call if you do have a freak out that is what they are there for and it happens to the best of us!
I'm sure it will he will say it is nothing though.

Ive had some pink CM too.... onyl a few occasions, and more so in the last tri.... always forget to mention it at my appt. I will be interested to see how you go.
I have a feeling I have heard of this before and its not a big deal, but I cant remember!! pregnancy!!! '

Don't worry hun It is not unusual to have a pink discharge after an internal by an inexperienced person. You have a very good blood supply down there and what you have done is boken some small blood vessels. If the bleeding has stopped you will be fine
