Thanks for your words of encouragement and your suggestions, I had some sugar, a glass of icy water and a lie down and I am pretty sure I felt some little wiggles.

I at least feel reassured to know that I am still within the realms of 'normal'!

I'm so pleased to hear you felt your wiggles! It must be a huge relief for you and I hope they continue to get bigger, better and stronger

You're at about the same point as me, Jackrose. With DS I felt it all for the first time quite a lot later and it was definitely stronger. This time I have felt kicks and somersaulty things, but it's a lot earlier and not as strong, because of course the baby is smaller and has more room to move around still at this point. Some days I don't feel anything and other days just one or two movements. With DS I had a fright late in the pregnancy where I didn't feel anything for 24 hours and went to get it checked out. He was lying with his back to my front and the kicking and poking were happening towards my back, which is why I couldn't feel it. Remember we can't feel kicks away from our front. I've also noticed that this time around I'm dealing with a toddler at the same time so I'm not as aware of movement as I was when it was just me and DH and we had the time to just sit/lie and be quiet and still. And given the busy-ness of this time of year, you're probably on the go constantly and bubs would be getting rocked to sleep by all that movement. Hope you find some time out to relax while you're away. Shouldn't be long now and we'll both be wishing the little darlings would just give us a break from the kicking for a little while and that our ribs weren't getting such a beating! Good luck

Thank you so much for the words of encouragement! I am not usually worried too much by things as I understand that worrying does not help and there are often logical explanations for most concerns, this little concern took me by surprise though! I just had a bad feeling that went with it.

I have continued to feel some little wriggles in the last few days which is reassuring.

You are all right of course, and I think I forgot how little the baby is and how much the movements come and go. Otherwise, here's hoping I have a clam little baby in there who just likes to chill out and will continue to do so after birth too!
