3 weeks ago at my last visit bub was transverse. I can feel she's moved but all movements are right down low. Is bub head down or breech down do you think?
It depends if you're feeling hands or feet moving... it's really, really hard to tell from where the movements are, until bub gets a bit bigger and you can identify where the head is yourself. Even then it depends of where your placenta is, whether or not it's your first bub, etc. But at 26 weeks, it's fine for bub to lie any which way, including transverse or breech. Plenaty of time yet for bub to move around. It's nothing to be worried about at this stage!
I always treated it like a game, I would try to guess what position bub was in and then see what my Obs found and see if I was right. It wasn't until about 32 weeks that I started being consistently right.
I could feel the difference between head and bum - the bum was smaller and less rounded... but until about 32 weeks it was pretty hard to tell. I'm a physio and have pretty good general palpation skills, though not a lot of experience at feeling beely bubs.
