I'm interested in the Emmaljunga City Jet - really like the look and feel off it but it is really hard to judge what its going to be like out in the real world with a baby in it, opposed to empty in the shop! If any one can give me any feedback it would be much appreciated as i can't find many reviews at all.
Also the new babylove snap n go capsule - if anyone has one of these i would love to hear your thoughts!
Thanks for your help
Hi - I was also looking at the Emmaljunga prams - i also couldnt find much info on it at the time. I spoke to one friend who had a lot of friends with babies and she recommended against it, she said it was harder to manouvere than others and that some of her friends had not been happy with it. But thats all the info I ever got and I am sure it is a good pram. In the end I went for a Bugaboo - not had bubs yet so cant comment from experience but heard many good things.
I am hiring a capsule - so sorry I dont have info on the one you asked about!
Best of luck.
I have an older style Emmaljunga. I loved it with the baby bassinette when Evan was little. The four big air wheels mean it has great suspension and was very comfortable for the baby. The downside was that it was no where near as light and easy to manage as some of the other prams. I still will use it for next baby, as i think for a little baby their comfort is the most important thing. When it got to the stage that Evan was sitting in the toddler part (so it is like a push chair) it was just too heavy and cumbersome and we ended up buying a McLaren stroller. The Emmaljumga took up too much room in the car and was especially too heavy once i was pregnant again. It is a beautiful looking pram, I love how it kinda looks 'old fashioned' a bit!
I was gong to say one thing to look out for is the weight of the emmaljunga prams, especially i you are goin to have to do alot of lifting in and out of the car. One of my belly buddies has one but she does lots of walking and catches the train so it doesnt get folded up and down and put in and out of the car so much, and she loves it. I guess it comes down to what suits you.
I have an emmaljunga and love it so much I bought the twin one for when number 2 came along! My main priority is the baby being able to lie flat which is very important for their spine and not many prams these days lie completely flat. My first baby would only sleep on her tummy which was something that hadn't even entered my head when I bought the pram so I was glad I hadn't bought one of those ones that are shapped for sitting. Granted it is a heavier pram but what comes first, the baby's spinal development or a bit extra weight to push round????
Have you looked at a Phil & Teds? They are quite light, fold down small for the car, go flat for the newborn position & have an optional toddler seat for later. I was told by sales person that they are the safest 3 wheeler on the market (weighted so that they won't tip etc). I have 3 friends who have gone with a Phil & Teds who RAVE about it. I've ended up buying one too.
yeah i agree with ali's belly buddy in that i have mine always set up by the front door and we use it for walking the dog, and walking to the shops etc. It's much better for going over grass and roads etc.
I also TOTALLY agree with Kiki because i also think it is the safest and most comfortable pram for the baby and that was my TOP priority especially when bubs was still small (not sitting up), and that is the reason why i will use it again with #2. Having said that, I imagine that i will be carrying #2 in the peanut shell sling i just bought and probably have DS in his stroller. I personally think the four big wheels and the suspension make this pram way better than any 3 wheel prams i have ever seen - and i did look at quite a lot
